My qualm about Cookie when he was announced was his off track problems, they have proved to be correct, I don’t know how anyone can defend it or stick by him. He has let the club, the fans, and his teammates down, again.

We have to distinguish between Premiership and Championship regarding attracting more or (less)fans.Championship attendances won’t be affected whatever way the sport goes in my opinion it’s down too it’s hardcore supporters and not attracting new fans in any great numbers.Dont know much about Premiership attendances ,whether big names are really making the difference but what I have seen on TV it not in good shape(attendance wise at most tracks).Interesting winter ahead.

I’ve just checked and he’s actually having his worst statistical season in the Premier League/Championship since 2010 when he rode for Workington. Yes granted he was the best rider in the league for periods at Edinburgh and Glasgow but I don’t think his on track performance can be classed as unbridled success as some seem to make out. You've got to take one with the other and that’s how I see it, I can put up with Kildemand averaged 7.80 or whatever it is as he is no nuisance and generally seems to put in a strong effort. Cooks off track issues combined with his worst statistical season since 2010 but hey we’ve dealt with worse on track so I guess this is fine to you?

And as i said without them.there would be even less..No one can solve speedway problems that includes paying for top riders its far to late .But crowds wont ever get any better justbecause  there are no guests etc and thinking getting 7 Dave Smiths to ride  every week is somehow going to bring the  crowds in  .
