The majority of Glasgow fans want to race on Friday nights. Which means Championship over Premiership. The majority of Glaswegians like to beat Edinburgh at anything (and have no strong feelings about teams from places like Ipswich). And there is no chance of Edinburgh going to the Premiership, so again Championship over Premiership. So throw all the insults you want at me, but I stick by what I said. The majority of Glasgow fans would prefer Championship over Premiership.

It was the same guy last year calling Glasgow all sorts for not moving up and giving it laldy about how Ipswich were going to take all the riders for themselves to punish all the clubs that don't want to race Premiership. And that Glasgow should get banned from riding in the Championship because they don't want to go Premiership. Words like eejit were invented for people like him. I respect that people have different opinions, and I only referred to him as an eejit as that is my opinion of him.

I see the usual eejit from Ipswich is spewing forth again about how desperate he is for Glasgow to race in the Premiership next season. I believe I speak for the majority of Glasgow fans when I say "thanks but no thanks". Once again they are ignoring that Glasgow fans don't want mid week racing, they want Friday nights. We also get a healthy crowd of kids as it's a non school night (yes there was a poll before any fixed race nights and Friday nights were top by a distance hence the Facennas fighting to get Friday night racing). You would also lose all of the local(ish) rivalries that bump up crowd levels for those fixtures. Glasgow v Edinburgh is an easy sell to people in either city in anything. Glasgow v Ipswich? Meh, not so much. And way less Ipswich fans would travel up midweek than Edinburgh fans on a Friday Yes, I'm picking on Ipswich (as it is some of their fans that seem desperate to ruin Glasgow speedway) but to be honest if Glasgow ran in the Premiership in 2026 there would have been no 'stand out' fixture in the calendar, none that you circle at the start of the year saying I must make sure to see that one. No derby and no rivalry. Having seen the odd international match, GP qualifiers etc there is nothing that we're missing out on in terms of racing quality either. As for not seeing Leon Flint or Dan T in the Championship, I think I might be seeing them a fair bit next year, but we'll see what happens over the silly season.

Since the SCB investigation outcome statement says that they have video evidence that "clearly" shows there was no stamp, then it must be you that's biased and wilfully blind. But it seems you're too arrogant to admit that you're wrong.

As I understand it...Villads Nagel, Ben Basso, Andreas Lyager and another Dane who's name escapes me at the moment (I've got Mikkel Michelsens name in my head but fairly sure he'd be too high an average). Too many fixture clashes seemed to be the issue. NB I'm not a part of the club so I can't be 100% on who was or wasn't spoken to, those were the names I heard. I get the basic aim of the rule, but it does seem silly that no one thought about riders that retire or get badly hurt (sadly both aren't unheard of in speedway). Also a general lack of heat leader level riders wanting to ride in the UK doesn't help matters. Punishing Glasgow for Kyle retiring just before the signing deadline doesn't feel fair but speedway has a long history of strange decisions, so who knows what will happen?

SCB have concluded their investigation into the incident at Plymouth and confirmed that Bomber did not stamp on Ben Barker (think there is a few apologies needed), and no further action to be taken. "Having gained more video evidence of the incident from a different angle, this clearly shows that at no point did Mr Harris kick or stamp on Mr Barker." Anyway if nothing else it gave some interest to what was mainly a meeting full of 'from the gate' heats

So where is this video evidence of this alleged stamp? Bomber's actions look to be those of a very angry man trying to stop a bike with no brakes Barker cut over the centre green to chase after Bomber and clearly said something offensive. Ben Barker commented on Bomber's post to dispute some of it but chose not to dispute or clarify what he said. I'd take from that that Barker doesn't object to what Bomber claims he said. Plenty of comments on what Bomber did, but tumbleweed on a rider threatening to deliberately take another rider out at high speed potentially injuring, paralysing or killing him.

Have you got any evidence of this clear stamp? Cause I've not seen any angle that shows it unclearly let alone clearly. Do you have any thoughts on what Ben Barker said? Deliberately putting another rider into the fence could paralyse, seriously injure or kill them. Should a rider have to put up with that? What happens in future if Ben outgates Bomber, should a rider be allowed to make a threat that could affect the outcome of a future race/match?

Show us this evidence you have then. There is nothing that I've seen on the live stream or online that shows anyone kicking or stamping on anyone else

The Glasgow track was prepared almost exactly the same as last Friday, which also resulted in a big track grade after heat 4, scraping shale off on to the mini track. Glasgow have been preparing deeper tracks at the request of the Tigers riders, but the last 2 weeks have seen riders from both teams struggle to turn their bikes in the early heats, hence the remedial work after heat 4 (I'm not an expert on track prep so I'm not even going to suggest what went wrong). What I can say though is the track prep had nothing to do with Redcar being in town.

Typical speedway: I know your rider has quit the sport, but we won't allow you to sign a rider because you have ridden too many matches. Since you haven't signed a rider, because we won't allow it, we will punish you by not allowing a proper guest up to his actual average. In a sport where riders do sometimes quit mid season, and serious injuries happen at any point, how could they not have predicted a situation like this might occur? The AGM really is just a chimps tea party for half baked ideas! Given our record with guests, I would have liked to see a signing, but they seemingly couldn't get anyone suitable in the time scale (mainly due to fixture clashes as I understand it). If Tigers were out of playoff contention then they might have lowered their sights, but it wouldn't go down well to tank the season whilst in a playoff spot

Hell no! You can keep him! He's a nae user. This being the same Eddie Kennett who has rarely managed to visit Glasgow throughout his entire career? He always came up with some crap excuse or another. I reckon he's missed more meetings at Glasgow than he has raced over his career. Plus he was crap when he was here the other week with Oxford. Tigers would be better off sticking with guests from the Comets than signing him!

So which superstar, champing at the bit to ride in Britain, did the Tigers miss out on? Remember that Glasgow are still in the playoff positions, so need someone to come in and average around 7-8 points a meeting, and beat opposition heat leaders home and away. There isn't time for a new signing to settle in, they would need to hit the ground running. There is no guarantee that a new foreigner will be successful, look at Janowski's struggles in the Premiership last year. For every Nagel there are more than as many Ivacics that don't adapt quickly. I believe they tried the likes of Nagel and Basso but too many fixture clashes in their calenders already. Not ideal going with guests, especially with Glasgow's record of terrible guest performances over the last two years, but I don't see how it can be avoided

For me as a speedway driver, it is of course extremely bitter, not being able to stand on the bike right now. Nevertheless, my health comes first. At the time Howarth quit he was above Cook, but dropped below him with effect from 1st August. I assume the promotion is struggling with lack of available riders, and fixture clashes for the likes of Nagel, and Basso
