Made my first visit to Buxton since re-opening,on Sunday 24 May. I would like to say a big thank you for everyone who put time effort and money in to venture. However I do fear for it. Start time was nearer to 3.30 than the stated time. I appreciate ambulance was late, but rider introductions could have been done without this. Meeting just seemed to take ages. Noticed some leaving as early as heat 8.  I had hoped to leave shortly after 5pm, having watched both NL and MDL match. When an interval was announced at 5.20 pm, with only 12 races completed, a few others joined me in leaving. Wonder how many will return. Thankfully didn't have the usual Buxton cold weather. A few simple and easy changes needed.

And me ninety quid....

Today's fixtures, or this one and return later shows how much the sport has declined in the UK. I seem to remember some of the Bank Holidays had a full league programme in both leagues.

Got this spot on lol The 3 guests got 22 between them and only twice this season have the 3 they replaced got more at home  Thomson matched Blodorn Sedgeman didn’t do much  Lidsey and Cook both got double figures The Belle Vue reserves got more than Sheffield but only just  Can’t see how anyone thought Sheffield were favourites Will be different tonight I would guess and Sheffield may get the bonus point
