The worst thing i saw at Ashfield was home fans in the main stand throwing bottles and other projectiles at the two Leicester riders who were doing a well deserved victory lap after the end of heat 14 after they clinched the title in 2019. There's an element (albeit a small one) within the Glasgow support who are not very nice and i've noticed this creeping in over the past few years. 'Loutish' some would call it. Ashfield is not always the warmest and happiest place to be due to a minority of the fans although the staff are always lovely and hard working the whole year through and they deserve a mention because their work often goes unheralded.
