I've seen some of the abuse the owner of the site has been receiving on social media from "speedway fans". From an outsiders point of view it doesn't portray those fans in a very positive light and the local council would be perfectly entitled to say "on your bike" (no pun intended).  I've looked at this from both sides. You can't force the stadium owner to reinstate the speedway if it won't make them any money just because some nostalgic fanatics still long for the good old days of Uncle Len. I actually thing an extension of the go-karting facilities or all-weather football pitches will bring far more benefits for the community and  local economy than an old niche sport will ever do. 

Speedway needs characters but Dickson is a complete gobsh1te

Well at least you'll see a different 7 riders at the next meeting rather than the same away 7 you saw the other week in a Kent race jacket now wearing a Cradley one.
