    • I think the debate over % reductions here valid and raises the questions. But it will not change anything as the team has now been declared and the BSP must be ok with it. Averages will always be a bone of contention. Always have. They are anti-speedway in my book that has become a neccesary evil.  At Bradford we were quite openly manipulated averages. At the start of the season you would be asking why this rider ? or that. Then Alan Ham would say dont panic theres going to be changes. There were and we strengthened up.  I'm fairly sure the riders will know this and accept it. But they get the chance to showcase what they can do so they may get the chance elsewhere.  Speedway generally is not very loyal and I dont like that aspect. Scunthorpe have over time been overly loyal to riders. But I think we have learnt from that. I would be suprised if do not know already "the calvalry" arriving in May ? I dont reckon Pickering would have signed up to a season long carrying the team on his own ?  There is of course the chance that unwittingly we have assembled the 2026 Champions elect and the 1-7 that starts v Redcar 22/3 ends the season in September. But Speedway doesnt work like that does it ?
    • Having worked at Northampton last year I would say its not quite as simple as you suggest.  No changing rooms,  no showers, no refs box,(but is a building that could be used) . Foam fence is needed,  but also wooden fencing to be made for the straights as that is steel plate aswell, plus some way of padding out the rope and post on top of the outer fence. Earth mounds with steel plate would all need removing on the inside of the bends.  Then after all of that you need staff, licenced officials.  Don't get me wrong,  I would love to see it happen.
    • Out of the 4 Confirmed Teams.   1. Sheffield (Strong Spearhead, Second Strings who've yet to reach their peak and are likely to improve again, Etheridge is much better than his 3.00 GSA who was riding with an injury when signed last season) 2. Belle Vue (Needs drastic improvement from Blodorn & Zischke imo but Kurtz/Bewley put up so many points so it's hard to see them outside of the play-offs) 3. Leicester (Huge potential throughout the Team imo, Loyal Riders to British Speedway who will all turn up every week, The Top 5 are all capable of increasing starting GSA's imo) 4. King's Lynn (It's a better side than what they've had in previous years granted but who in the Top 5 is actually going to increase their starting GSA? I don't see where the improvement is but that's just my opinion)
    • Danyon Hume Racing (31st Dec 2025 on FaceBook) I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank all of my supporters. The back end year has been an incredibly tough one following my broken back injury, and I am still currently waiting for the metalwork to be removed. Throughout this challenging period, the support, encouragement, and patience shown to me has meant more than I can put into words. I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has stood by me, and I’m hopeful that 2026 will be a far more positive year and I will back on the bike with no doubt. Thank you all for your continued support — it truly doesn’t go unnoticed. Happy New Year
    • I think they're very overrated tbh with a lot of question marks to answer. Cook has committment issues and he can't seem to ride any Away Track that's not named the NSS, One minor crash and it could be deja vu when it comes to Leszno. Kvech hasn't improved as a Rider anywhere over the last few years and has gone backwards, Maybe he's reached his peak? I like Paco Castagna but he's quite the journeyman imo and his great personality mostly covers that up tbh.
    • He must have meant Adrian who rode for Peterborough years ago
