Whilst not willingly and deliberately by the promoters, could the Premier league effectively turn into a loss leader unless they get their collective act together? -

I do sort of understand why some wouldn't be keen on Brennan - he hasn't exactly got a stellar record round owlerton. Other than that, I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to sign him. A rider that's improved year on year, a real professional and speaks well for himself and in what could be a weakened league I think could be a real asset as hes proved he can defintely hold his own at heatleader- given the opportunity I'd love to see him have a season at Sheffield, however I fully suspect he'll be back at Ipswich. -
I agree it would be good to know.....and understandable that if what's on offer no longer appeals, folk will indeed choose to stay away. Its fair to say promoters actually do understand the dynamics, just not clear that they know what to do about it.

Dear old JD had the best equipment and was well funded but he would have been better off at longtrack, I remember when he signed for Lynn poss 88 under Simmo and Bill Barker he was a good trapper but coming out of the second bend he would be leaving a gap on the inside the titantic could have got through. And JD'S riding the boards wasn't in the Henka or Loram style it was more just looking uncomfortable on the bike, to be fair he had an above average career but he never looked suited to speedway to me he would have been better on an oval twice the size of Lynn where he could drift off 20 metres from the inside line. -
Makes sense to announce Rushen tonight. Oxford announce their reserves tomorrow, and are realistically the only other team that might have signed Rushen. So if you announce Cook, leaving a 2 point hole and Oxford don't announce Rushen the it all but confirms your final rider. Cook still has that little bit of 'has he changed his mind about missing the Championship next year' mystery if they announce him last.

As I said, We are all entitled voice our views on this forum including if you choose to believe or not believe the reasons I gave behind the promoters thinking are applicable or not. However, maybe you should accept that views/opinions are one thing, whilst decisions are altogether another matter. At the end of the day decisions made are what ultimately counts and where UK speedway is concerned those decisions are made by the promoters not the rank & file folk on this forum. The only decision the majority of fans/supporters can make is to decide whether or not to pay or not to pay hard earned money to watch the meetings. And whilst you appear somewhat deluded to think that folk on this forum actually have sufficient collective power to hold the promoters to account, wait until March and just see the supporters (the vast majority of whom are not even on this forum) pay their money to do what they want to do- which is to support their team.
