Very interesting programme notes from the Witches promotion effectively calling out promoters being 'too willing' in calling off fixtures particuarly if their is just the slighest risk of rain! Its a habit that needs breaking! He also cited the last rain off in the FIM/SGP was in 2021 - just 2 rain offs in 200 meetings! -

Garbage! Most Lions fans are thrilled with his contribution this season. You might want to look at the riders scores again? Kemp could have scored more than he did if not for mechanical issues ( his own fault admittedly).Dougy was outstanding and the rest of the team were solid against the team that has the best combined heat leader trio in the league. Tonight was a great example of what team speedway should be about. -
It's mostly the shape, the surface is usually well prepared. It's a small track with tight turns that require riders to turn the bike hard, which many are not used to. If there's a little too much dirt or it's greasy then it can be even more difficult, especially for newbies. -

Enjoyed this, Chris Adams managed his side well given the hand he was dealt with injuries etc, got the most of of a 4 (maybe5) man Foxes side! A bit gate and go however but a few good races and one or two good moves from the home riders. Agree that Kye Thomson is a cracking rider and he mixed it really well. Witches needed more from some riders - both Lawson and TomB didn't do enough tonight for me. It was nice to see Jordan back and I do wonder why he hasn't been given a spot ahead of Kennett - nothing against Kennett but Jenkins did enough for me to think why isn't he in? -

Does anyone know why Sam Masters was selected for heat 15? -
A fair few times in their youth days - in fact I think Cairns rode a few times for one of the Armadale National Junior League sides. And both have been good on NDL visits last year - Cairns with an 18 point maximum. They'll both do well tomorrow, I think.
