Can anyone fathom a reason for why that track produces such poor racing? As I mentioned last night, I remember Wimborne Road producing magical racing with the SWC. Heat thirteen was good last night, but it took seven - yes, seven - heats before we saw a pass beyond the second bend. All in all, I counted four passes the entire evening after the first lap. Poole are going to win this league. They wiped the floor with us, but what they serve on that track from an entertainment perspective will play its part in killing British speedway. -

Lawson hard but fair??????? lawson is a right dirty rider, especially at poole and last night proved it again, he had hodder passed, he didnt need to stop turning and run a young rider like that right out, shocking decision from the ref that -
And those three have a lot more experience in the championship, bigger scalps will follow I'm sure

And therein lies an issue with any UK kid that looks a modicum better than average... I have seen him and Rushen described as potential superstars... Let's see if they can beat average rising stars regularly first... At 16, the very top riders in the world were beating heat leaders in their respective top divisions, so let's not pile pressure on these lads should they show some ability higher than most of their UK peer group... Because, with all due respect, Dan Thompson apart, that group isn't the greatest standard, and Div 2 second string level will be an achievement for most of them....

Glasgow fans clutching at their pearls after being demolished. Track was the same for both set of riders. Granted in the heat conditions were not perfect but it wasn’t dangerous. Only one faller all night from an inexperienced reserve under pressure. As for Cairns only beating Hodder, Perry and Hume. Isn’t that what he was meant to do? Scoring paid 9 on his debut, and the way he scored it, was very impressive. Should have had Starke’s last ride to be fair but the meeting was done by then. Think he is going to make quite a mark on the sport as long as he stays fit. Still buzzing from last night. Wasn’t heat 13 entertaining? Lawson and Harris battling? Rowe when he came through past the Thompson twins? Lawson giving Howarth a lesson on hard but fair racing? Not sure there’s a lot of love between Lawson and Howarth.
