I also understand that they would not be interested in signing another long lease with anyone, so your thinking is correct. Our only hope, due to construction being difficult at the moment, is that they will allow us to stay for now.

That's not how averages work.   Obviously it was only going to be a challenge match, so Buxton could use Zmarzlik if they wanted.  I just found it surprising to see that they were planning to use a second-string "ringer" that took them over the points limit, when I would have thought it would make more sense to try out a legal reserve, since that is what they will need for league fixtures.    As it happens it was rained off anyway.

No this is where people are getting mixed up, the old agreement does not and would not financially be able to be taken over by the speedway.    Hence that one is ripped up and put in the bin and a new speedway only lease has been agreed at a sensible rate for the amount of use the speedway has at the stadium. Its then up to stadium owners to try and do a new greyhound deal to make up the difference 

It didn't happen due to the weather. However I don't know what richings average is or if its lower than bowtells and if it is does, Spooner could then fit. Spooner currently doesn't have a team to ride for and can not guest in a league match but is also being given the track time he needs. Not all riders without a team place are new to the sport.
