Matt Ford has already said Poole won't move up until they have a long term future at the stadium. They always seem to know they are okay for the following year but seems to be as far as long term it is atm. Better off trying Redcar. Didn't they used to ride on Thursdays? -
I hope they have a good turn out! I’ll be going to show the boys my support for their amazing performance this year! Wonder if Rew will be invited! I love the Witches, doing this shows how much the club means to them and another chance to open it up to the audience who are casually shopping or walking by. Having a celebration like Torun shows how Chris Louis knows how to run a speedway club 👏🏻 With Fabio in for a World Title shot next year and ITFC surely pushing eventually for a premiership push, this seems fitting for the town to have a celebration 🎉

I know it's not the job of Glasgow & Poole to "save" British Speedway, but is their reluctance to step up gonna harm them in the long run? If no-one wants to join the Prem & it collapses. Riders no longer get to double up, said riders now want paid more due to less meetings. Clubs can't afford it, Champ clubs begin to drop off down to NL / Nora. Like I said at the start it's unfair to expect a team to ride at the level they're not comfortable with, but the alternative could be far worse! I mentioned those teams, as they seem the best set to give it a go. Sticking to what's safe (not a criticism as it's their money on the line) won't be an issue in the short term perhaps, but what's the long term future going to be? -
It was distributed to vested promotions in an equitable manner who decided by and large to spend the vast majority of the income on paying riders inflated pay rates. What didn’t happen was that the money was handled in what the sponsors hoped for which was to use significant amounts of money to invest in the infrastructure and development of the sport which in turn would lead to a growth in interest and value for their subscriber base. As a comparison think what football, cricket, Rugby & darts have done to use TV money as a catalyst to greatly improve facilities and evolve their sport to provide bigger & better experiences for both attendees & viewers alike.

I was just wondering if anyone else who subscribes has had delivery problems? I have always received my copy thursday mornings for years, since august its been arriving 6 days late, its not the publishers who despatch it as usual. Thought about postal strikes but for 4 months? Anyway after years of subscribing i wont be renewing its better now to just go to Sainsburys thursday morning as its always on the shelf or order it from the local newsagents. Royal Mail cant be relied upon.
