I think the issue about the comparisons is we are comparing (generally) the one off final era to the GP era and you can't. Loram was an outstanding racer in the Chris Harris mould and was Screen and to a certain extent Smudger but they often lacked the consistency - although Loram did bag a title! Regardless of era etc to be crowned three times is placing him almost alongside riders like Mauger, Olsen, Briggs, Rickardsson, Crump, Hancock, Gundersen and Nielsen etc in terms of greatness purely due to the numbers of titles they all won.

Not sure if it fits but reason he wasnt in the team this year was because he is riding in Denmark on Weds. Also i read he isnt as fit as he was hoping, so maybe not quite ready yet. 

Does Tobias Thomsen fit - subject to BSPL approval as I think there’s a rule about needing permission to sign a previous season’s rider who wasn’t in an original declaration. 

Tatums meaningless “ Early doors” whatever that means. Two meaning less Lanningisms that used to drive me mad :- “( such and such )…..makes the jump”  and the really dreadful “ Here comes Collins ( or whoever) high wide and handsome “ If you turned the sound off a and only listened to Lannings commentary you wouldn’t have a clue what was going on.

Delighted to hear KJP is as well as can be, given what happened. Ecstatic. The speed and the angle at which he hit that fence, then the way he lay, had me feeling a way I’d never felt. RE Cluff apologising. Good boy. Matter closed, but thousands were still witness to his act of self-serving narcissism at the expense of another riders’ safety and prevention of his medical treatment. That can’t be erased.
