Think Dan is a really genuine guy, like he says he just rides his bike wants to win,but it not the end of the world for him.Thats just the type of guy he is.

Disgraceful (lack of) performance from the Aces GP stars. I’d be embarrassed that they let your team down but instead saved their best efforts for the weekend. The Witches fully deserve their place in the final and hope that Emil can get his woes sorted for the final. They will face much tougher opposition in the final than the Aces tho.

When you've been to a public school and its on your CV. The old boys network kicks and you end up with a nice little number for the rest of your life!!

Incitement for who to do what? As I have already said Glasgow supporters go to see good racing not shout abuse at riders, win, lose or draw.

Unlucky Aces, started decent and thought we were in for a long night but we turned it round after heat 8 and kept the foot down to get the job done. Tough conditions for both riders early on and not as big crowd as I expect but weather might had played a part. I want to mention this though… my Polish mother in law came over and she has a close friend who was diagnosed with cancer recently, and she has an operation next month. Her favourite rider is Bewley so today after the meeting we waitied to see if he would give us a minute of his time. He was very polite and listened to the story of her friend, he put his bags down and wrote a message out directed to her, wishing her all the best and signing it. For me, it’s something he didn’t have to do especially after that meeting and not the best performance but he was still willing to be a kind human to help another out and make her day. I wished him all the best for the weekend and off he went, sometimes you can get caught up in the racing but these guys are just humans like us and whether Ipswich won or lost tonight I would remember that gesture of kindness over speedway. Good luck Saturday Dan B.

He broke his leg when he hit a drain lid in the second half of a league meeting at Hyde Road. It was a week before the world final. Even if he did have a league meeting that week. I'm sure no one would have blamed him for missing the meeting with a broken leg!. What I was trying to say, Riders were very much more of club men back then. They didn't ride in Sweden on a Tuesday and Poland on a Sunday. Yes they rode long track meetings in Germany and such, but they were individual meetings, so for the likes of PC and Mort, the Aces was their club. Yes the Aces are Bewley's and Kurtz's club, but they also have a Polish club and a Swedish club and as such their loyalties are split. No doubt the highest payers will always come first and thats not Belle Vue!
