While I totally get this logic, what would happen if every team decided not to sign riders who had finished the previous season injured? Would all these riders retire? Have to get a day job that doesn't fit in with Speedway? Sign for multiple foreign teams & leave GB speedway behind? Where would then all the replacements come from? I guess it all depends on how badly a rider was injured & how likely they are to return fully fit? Can clubs just trust a riders opinion, for example Borke felt he was fully fit & just needed time, but Berwick felt he clearly wasn't right. How can a club judge a rider in the off season, waiting for some early season individuals isn't really an option to test fitness as clubs will want to be organised long before then.

Lewy is correct, but with regards to this app they haven't been involved to my knowledge.  I have corresponded with the app developer today to let him know of this thread, and although he has read the comments so far there seems to be an issue with him signing up to the forum that is preventing him from posting, which hopefully is fixed shortly.
