  1. Perhaps Glasgow could ask Andy and his crew if they would do it. They do a tremendous job at Poole and Plymouth. Might be worth it as a one off.
  2. Glasgow now have no excuse when it is run as they will be full strength.
  3. Yes Nagel is the difference between Glasgow cleaning up everything or winning nothing. He is a serious talent, and have the same effect Tarasenko had for Glasgow a couple of seasons ago. The forecast is dodgy in the extreme for Glasgow tomorrow and I would imagine the Glasgow promotion are itching to press the ‘meeting off button’, knowing full well they will be dominant with Nagel back when it’s run. The travelling Poole fans are either very brave and determined or foolhardy! But due to the Glasgow promotions insistence of not providing any other way of watching the match, they are left with no alternative. Well done to them.
  4. Clashes with England match on tv. WTF! They better change it or a lower crowd expected.
  5. It doesn’t affect Poole’s crowd. Yet there are up to 1000 people from all over the U.K. watching the Poole stream. There will be no more than a handful of Poole fans at Glasgow for the second leg but hundreds willing to buy a stream. Every other club is making good money streaming yet not Glasgow, who somehow think not streaming is the way to go. Plymouth have a very good streaming service, the same as Poole, with two commentators, several cams and a raving reporter in the pits. Must make quite a bit of money for the club. Used it several times this season. What’s the betting many Glasgow fans paid for the stream when they were at Plymouth?
  6. So are Glasgow going to join every other club and start streaming matches? It’s ludicrous that they don’t and of course have been missing a money stream while denying fans from all over the country from seeing their wonderful, bestest ever, dogs danglies, bigly magnificent race track. They can’t honestly expect ageing speedway fans to travel hundreds of miles in each direction to watch 90 mins of live action, but they can charge £12.99 that they wouldn’t have made with a stream. And it doesn’t have to cost much. Redcar’s streaming is basic but good enough. Two cameras. One static IRRC. One guy on a mic. Job done. Everyone happy. Sort it out please. Yes, stuck record.
  7. So three of those were first bend bunching where both Poole and Glasgow riders fell. Flint was correctly excluded. Sorry but it’s sour grapes. Of the three falls on bend one all four back. Fair. Cami is coming across as a bad loser.
  8. Well as the away riders are on the back of the pits, not in any view or earshot of fans, I find this incredulous! I was in the pits until 7pm when fans leave and on the Glasgow side of the pits there were the usual autograph hunters and a few fans getting selfies. No issues whatsoever. Some of the tactics used? What, good hard racing? Very volatile? Just a great atmosphere with a noisy crowd. Possibly the best atmosphere this season. Me thinks it’s just a bit of sour grapes from Cami who is playing to the Glasgow fans. He should stop whining. They even had a Scottish ref! It’s far from over. Glasgow are good around their place. Would have preferred a bigger lead.
  9. Re Flint exclusion. Flint lifted and this allowed Cook to charge under him entering the third bend. Flint was clearly not expecting Cook to come under him and lost it. Clear gap between them. Ref watched the replay several times and correctly excluded Flint. Watching in the main stand I don’t think a single spectator expected Cook to be excluded. Looked clear what happened.
  10. Cracking meeting tonight played out in front of a big crowd. Track was excellent tonight. Plenty of dirt and well watered. No dust at all and no watering during the meeting. Lots of passing and brave riding. A few very tough first bends. No quarter given by either side. Lead could have been bigger if Kerr maintained his bikes to a decent standard. Crowd thought the same post meeting judging by the reaction to his excuses. Not good enough and needs to sort himself out for the end of the season. Not expecting him to. Starke is finally riding with a bit more urgency. Good to see. Cairns was excellent tonight until his last ride when he completely messed up his start. No criticism though as he is improving nicely. Thomsen very good. Rowe poor but he knows it. Lawson simply immense. Defying logic to be honest. A run of the mill ageing journeyman has turned into a superb number one and rarely has a duff ride. Serious top notch at Championship level and pretty good in the Premiership as well. For Glasgow Harris was excellent. Chased after Lawson and was his usual self. A bit unlucky in heat 15 with Howarth in third blocking any chance Harris had of chasing after Cook. Howarth was very fast, Dan Thompson solid. Bowes tried, as did Flint. The reserves tried and both perhaps deserved more. Fourteen point lead. Enough? Not sure with Nagels riding. But at least it will be a thriller. Just hope we get the opportunity to watch a stream.
  11. Ended up buying the excellent stream. The journey home from Gloucester took an age as I stopped 14 times! Great win for Pirates who nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Lawson very tough in heat 15 to secure the points. 43-46.
