  1. Shame for Bowes who tried to come back too early after injuring himself last winter, fell and hurt himself again, then tried to come back too early and was clearly in pain. There’s a talent there but he hasn’t had a chance to show it. The best bet is time out to make a full recovery. Best of luck to the lad.
  2. Well some of you don’t like football but many of us do. I attend over 40 Premier League games a season plus a dozen or so lower league matches, plus several non league fixtures. Next season it could possibly be over 50 top flight and European matches with trips to the continent. I love my speedway and football as do many, who also like their cricket. There’s no point saying speedway should run against England in a World Cup. Unless you want to commit financial suicide.
  3. Just read it after I posted. Correct call.
  4. Well England play at 5pm so I wouldn’t have coming on Wednesday to Oxford as I want to watch the match (probably suffer it) with friends. Would have bought the stream for the meeting instead. Totally the right call to postpone.
  5. I have been going to Poole since 1985. I have never heard anyone say what you have said you heard. In general Poole fans are plenty, knowledgeable and fair. For it to happen twice in your two visits is frankly ridiculous. You over egged your made up story.
  6. Here’s the first running of heat ten last night. Cooper Rushen doesn’t kick Etheridge at all, just outgated him and Etheridge falls. All four back fair decision.
  7. Should imagine the rule makers will be summoning Etheridge to explain himself. Throwing a punch at a minor carries a severe penalty.
  8. I remember Berwick v Poole at Berrington Lough where Poole’s John Gould’s bike cleared the safety fence and narrowly missed the fans standing there!
  9. For those that haven’t seen the Rushen / Etheridge incident.
  10. Financially Plymouth v Berwick is not what the Plymouth promotion wanted. Only a handful of away fans at each meeting while Poole would have bought down a lot of fans and vice versa. But there is clear lethargy in the Pirates camp. Clear for fans to see. Worst effort I have seen in many seasons. In fact since Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder went on the piss the night before we rode at Ipswich in the 2019 playoff semi final second leg.
  11. Its a complete self inflicted sh*t show. Inquest should start tonight. Some riders are not pulling their weight.
  12. Well done Will Cairns tonight winning his sgp round. Sorely missed tonight.
  13. Nothing to do with riding a bike. Etheridge went for a space that wasnt there. Rushen was always in front and never touched him. All immaterial now as Berwick are clear and away. They have been the better team tonight and good luck to them in the final.
  14. Throttle goes both ways. Cooper was clear in front. Shocking call. Etheridge should have been out.
  15. Simon Lambert (G) - FX, 1, 1, 0 Newman even worse. Berwick up for it we riding like on Wednesday. Never enough.
  16. We are completely weak at reserve as Kyle just doesn’t have any speed in those old bikes of his.
  17. Agree. Lethargy in the Pirates camp. Needs to be stamped out and quickly.
  18. Look at the difference between Cooper Rushen and Zach Cook. One going through the motions while the other is hungry.
  19. Cook completely disinterested there. Smith beat him by a mile.
