Iversen, Holder, Tungate, Basso and Richie Worrall is a very strong top 5 for me. Jenkins if he continues where he left off has the potential to be one of, if not the best rising star. That leaves Ben Cook who I haven't seen a bad word said about him3 points

Ipswich is a small club compared to Peterborough. When was the last time Ipswich won the league title?3 points

Latest set of photos on Facebook look fantastic it's going to be a wonderful place to watch the racing3 points

I'm advised that the 'BabelFish translator' converts the Russian word 'Sayfutdinov' into the English word 'Tungate'. Does this help the conundrum?3 points
-
Or maybe too expensive for what he is. Maybe you can get Emil or Nicki for similar money for what Tungate is asking for?3 points

Depends what you’re looking for as a fan. Would you rather pay your money and watch Emil? Or would you rather watch a Worrall/Cook combo (with all due respect to them) that would probably fetch more points? I’m with you I think I’d probably go for the strongest looking duo which gives the best chance of success. But I’ll bet there’s plenty who’d rather go for the Emil option even if that means looking weaker overall.2 points

If Peterborough get the rider's suggested the averages don't really matter as they'd have the quality throughout. Ipswich on the other hand would be dead, even with Sayfutdinov & Doyle as a top 22 points

Any reason why you keep quoting and answering yourself??2 points

so would be a no to Hume because he needs to be at no.6 Rew needs time at no.6 to learn the tracks etc. so really for me Hume can't be an option2 points

Well if he’s not in because he’s too expensive you can forget any thoughts of Emil or Nicki Pedersen!2 points

I had pleasure of meeting Emil in the services on M4 coming back from Cardiff around 10 years ago. He stopped what he was doing and took time to speak to us and posed for pictures. He really is one top guy and would be brilliant to see him here. He surely should have won World Championship a number of times by now and a true World class rider. i live 2 hours from the Showground but would have to make the trip to see him. Hope the rumours are true. Would be amazing to see him round the showground and will dominate as did Crumpy and Sully back in the day.2 points

The delay all makes perfect sense now. Ipswich have to wait until Peterborough sort their team first so they can then use whatever riders Peterborough decide they don’t want.2 points

Very true lewy freedom of speech and all that.if we all had the same opinion the world would be a boring place.1 point

That won’t be a problem we have several things like that planned throughout the season along with special 100 club events but want to gauge the interest before publishing any further commitment.1 point

Yeah you’re right. Could you in theory pull a fast one and use this 25% discount to strengthen pretty quickly? Signs on a 3 for team building purposes using the 25% and then replace with a rider using his real average when the season starts. Pretty shi tty way to treat someone though and I’m pretty sure Louis wouldn’t do that. Only Poole would stoop that low1 point

Whether people rate him or want him in the team or not, IF he is in the side then the supporters will get behind him of that I have no doubt.1 point

Gotta say I find it impossible to suggest who will get the Wooden Spoon in the Prem, all the completed teams have positive sides to them, so it could be a very close league. Certainly closer than the Champ who have one team (Birmingham) who look far weaker than the rest. I've picked Leicester as the weakest looking side so far, but even they have a great top 4!1 point

Even more bonkers if there were other better riders left that didn't have a team place who's averages fitted1 point

Surely we won't go 2 under the limit. I have no issues with Richie Worrall but signing Andersen would just be silly1 point

Looks absolutely cracking for viewing. Looking forward to coming down with the devils as long as I have the time to do so.1 point

I honestly think Emil could finish top of the averages. He will be unbeatable around the Showground.1 point

No idea why don’t you ask them? But to my knowledge, Louis hasn’t been giving it the big “I am” with boasts about what he’s going to do on social media like this pillock has he? He’s been on the scene all of 5 minutes and is already giving it the “I’m a winner” self appraisal crap. Just pipe down and get on with it ffs.1 point

Well we’ll soon find out if your new man is the real deal or simply full of sh!t.1 point

But looking at teams thts built it doesn't really make much difference, would any of teams tht is built swap there no1s for any of the commonwealth riders available I'd say probably not.1 point

Great Nephew he is Geoff James is 14/15 years older than some of the riders! Perfect guy for the job he is!1 point
-
Yeah was pretty crazy that a rider pulls out of a race injured and then you bring in a rider as a TS. Never get away with it now!1 point
-
But that is exactly what the delay was/is, of that I now have no doubt. Doesn’t mean he’ll sign of course!1 point

Trying to win an argument by claiming someone's views should not be given an airing because of a "brain injury" is a bit low. I find PC's points of view fascinating, and if I were him, I would be more critical about the genuine injuries he sustained while riding for the Aces—the leg in 1977 and the shoulder in 1980—which cost him at least another title and another three or four years at the top. Having read the book, both injuries were the club's fault. Added to that, Belle Vue knew his father had died but didn't tell him until after he'd scored a 12-point maximum for them. I'd have gone ape. Even more illuminating, the poster worried about PC's account of his career being affected by his brain haemorrhage doesn't seem to shy away from criticising someone like Barry Ayres for not succeeding in his racing career. By all means, give free admission to anyone who rode for the Aces. The truth is though... speedway is so far from the halcyon days when most of them raced.... they wouldn't even want to attend.1 point

young riders are learning that moving to different tracks help them really improve you have to learn all types of tracks rather than being a one track pony1 point
