If you have riders of a different standard like that could it not be pretty dangerous? Can you imagine the likes of Carl Stonehewer having to round Jitu Duffil and Carlos Villar and survive? :roll: :twisted: If the standard was nearer to being level across the board then surely handicaped racing cant be justified?

Some of us have already mentioned in various different places where we are staying but I thought it might be a better idea to have it all together. BTL thats the name of the place I've been trying to remember..... I know people who stayed there last year and they found it fine for travelling etc Thanks Sloop - Ive been going insane trying to remember it!

Its probably wiser to wait a couple of weeks yet before arranging it but last year I seem to recall it was a Wotherspoons near the Stadium and it was a good pub. Was it the Prince of Wales? What about a mini meet for the Friday at Newport as well?

Apart from that the white stilletto's, big hoop earrings and fishnet tights give her away..... :twisted:

Why not lioness? You must know who you thought was the most gifted natural rider. If we are talking most good looking rider Katie.... I might revise my choice to Tommy Jansson. Somehow I think katie is one of our younger members who has missed the point of the thread...... I love reading these threads guys even though I cant contribute. Keep them coming its really interesting to get different perspectives on past riders!

I fully agree with you Grachan. They got it right last year with Lee Richardson giving him a chance to experience it at first hand before qualifying in his own right this year, who knows it could be the same for Steady! No-one else stands out as a wildcard for me really as I dont think its right to put in an experienced rider who will not ride at that level in the future. Being a way behind for the youngsters isn't what matters-its what they get the chance to learn for the future

Sadly Joanne in my opinion there are non up to the required standard at the moment :-(

Basically it seems to be the same arguement for the step up from CL to PL as it does from PL to EL. Financial survival is a necessity.....its good to see teams being realistic about that in all 3 leagues. Once we all realise it we can look at ways of working together to ensure a future for all three leagues and speedway as a whole.

My Workington friends are gonna fall out with me over this but.....I really don't think Stoney should be considered for a wild card. He's been in the GP's and lets face it he is never going to reach those heady heights again. If we are sticking to British riders I would rather it went to a younger man with the potential to at least challenge for the GP qualifiers next season Now the air raid siren has sounded and I am gonna get all tucked up in my bunker.....lol

Are all age limits/restrictions rigid in speedway or is it like football when you can in extreme cases apply for special dispensation?
