  1. Personally I would fear for Edinburgh when the present lease expires. The present Promotion are not getting any younger and would need an influx of new blood to take up the baton.IMO.( they may have this in place though).Financially there won’t be a queue to take over and make losses.
  2. Think if it wasn’t for the enthusiasm of the Promotion and Fans Trust,Monarchs would be long gone.Crowds have dwindled the last few seasons.Credit to them.
  3. Sounds like it would make decent read if you did write one
  4. The racing at Ashfield this season has been excellent on the meetings I have attended.Well worth attending and the stadium and facilities are 1st class.Attendances look decent.
  5. The bottom line is that the sport in its present form is not attracting and keeping new fans in numbers to make it sustainable on the wages they are paying to the Top Riders at Championship Level without Major Sponsorship, which seems hard to attract.Slippery Slope IMO.
  6. Been to Glasgow a few times this year,Friday crowds were good IMO.Tue v Sheffield wasn’t great though .Definately think crowds are up on 2 seasons ago IMO.
  7. Always going to be contentious issue on who they pick ,they should be concentrating on picking better tracks IMO.Give the riders a decent track and you will get some cracking racing.
  8. Zmarzlik is a worthy Champion, but Madsen is the rider of the Championship for me,the number of passes he made during the series was fantastic.Wildcards will be interesting.
  9. That match went ahead, I’m referring to matches when riders won’t ride when it’s wet.!
  10. Them were the days, they won’t even ride if there is dirt on the track nowadays ,and it does have to be raining!!!!
  11. Catch 22 situation with track covers ,hampers track prep if put down, if it’s raining at start time riders won’t entertain it.Is it worth the bother.!!
  12. + Buster will buy the rest Premiership Teams.
  13. There are really no rules that can’t be broken in Speedway if the need arises.
  14. He sure did,I never criticised him was just pointing out the facts in reply to another Post. IMO
  15. Bickley scored vital points but the only opposition riders he beat were their reserves.Bailey was more competitive and replaced Andersen in the only real change that could be made and that was against Morris and Covatti.Would have made no difference IMO
  16. I agree,The Rebels reserves put in a lot of effort and were not far off the pace.Bailey was better than his 3 points.
  17. Some cracking heats in a very good match,Anders Rowe was man of the match for me, very impressive performance.Match in the balance IMO.Tigers slight favourites if reserves can get a few points. ps Though Rory got 2nd in that tight finish with the 2 Tigers!
