It getting beyond a joke if aGP rider is assessed as a 9 .Its pretty obvious its cost cutting exercise ,It should have been 1 big league with 1 over 8 and promote NL riders into reserve positions for the future IMO.Wonder what admission costs will be for Premiership.

Maybe is the right word, I have see a lot of good youngsters who never fulfilled their promise.You need a fair bit of luck in Speedway.

What chance he ever rides for Berwick though,slim IMO .Berwick should have signed him and loaned him out if we are thinking to the future,although granted he might not want to ride for them.Wish him all the best though.

Think this is where the AGM has fallen down badly,it only publishes Major changes in the sport,It should put out a statement of all changes discussed at Conferance within a couple of weeks.They are probably still arguing among themselves over " interpretation " of the rules as usual.

Glasgow are Promoting the sport in aProfessional manner,and should be applauded,they can only build their Team to the points limit irrespective of what they want to pay their riders,I certainly don't have a problem with that.They have not had a lot of major success in the last 2 seasons with their so called "big money riders" which proves how fickle the sport is with injuries etc.Teams on paper doesn't mean everything in this sport.Plenty riders have " followed the money" in their career and good luck to them if it works out.Other Teams would do they same if in the position the Tigers find themselves in.Lets face it Edinburgh have always had some " high profile signings" over the years,and it certainly not the attendances the pay their wages.Its Sponsership .

If the rules are relaxed over starting procedures,I would likes to see any who touches the tapes excluded with no replacement,that would soon sort out tape touchers and give the other Team an advantage for the misdomeaner.

Cant remember him passing anybody anywhere!! ,he is a good gater though!

Just an update,spoke to the Duty Manager at Meadowbank tonight he thinks the Craven Family will be contacted and have first refusal on plaque.Notice it was donated by The Veterans Speedway Riders Ass,That's all from me.

Totaly of the subject but thought this might be the place to attract Mike Hunters attention.Mike did you know that Meadowbank sports centre is closing to the public on 3rd Dec .And being demolished.Wondering about the plaque to Peter Craven which is situated in the building ,what will become of it.

In present climate in the sport don't think the crowd levels would rise significantly ,but based on recent seasons there is always more fans attend at start of new season(as At most tracks) but drops off after afew weeks,if we had a successful team challenging for honours the levels may hold up better IMO .If word gets round it may attract a few fans back.As for affording a successful Team fans don't know the costs so how can we judge? Everything is rumour regarding club and rider running costs.

It won't happen but I would. Have liked to see TJ back,think it was a mistake to leave him out last season.
