How many fans sitting in the Grandstand know the financial goings on at the club though.I certainly don't,that's the Promotions business .
-
It's only a personal view, but I feel paying more at the gate on the night is maybe off putting to neutral fans, during the season, and perhaps Home fans if numbers are down like has been quoted.
-
Its a difficult one to discuss, mainly because I think the sport is in turmoil ,don't think the real problem is about who is promoting the sport at Berwick, but what can change in the sport to attract fans back.Unfortunately don't think Promoters know what the real problems are and are at odds with the fans regarding change.Things discussed on this Forum won't change anything IMO .Anything negative just gets shot down in flames and blamed for people not turning up at meetings which is a lot of nonsense IMO .Most clubs are now relying on Owners and Sponsers (and supporters) dipping into their pocket to keep them afloat. We are just going round in circles regarding solutions,as most ideas have already been exhausted on this forum. Is there a future for the sport at Berwick .Only the Promotion know the answer to that Question .IMO

Premier League Fours?

Agree,a small corner of Ingleston would be an ideal venue now with the Trams service .

With due respect, when the quotes given in the article are from a prominent member of the Club it's hard to believe it could be termed any thing else than "doom and gloom" except by yourself. Most fans know that Monarch fans are probably best in the League regarding additional income to the Club every season which is commendable.Perhaps should have said "no comment" to the reporter.

The article in the Evening News is quoting John Campbell's comments ,surely he knows the financial situation as well as anyone in the Club.I agree regarding crowd levels and I think you are correct regarding Team make -ups, it is Select Teams turning up everywhere these days,it certainly doesn't help and is a big problem in the sport IMO . It needs run in a Professional manner.
-
That was a decent meeting, track look decent too. Holder has lost a it of spark when I have seen him ride this season.Interesting 2nd leg IMO .Poole will be favourites though.

Mr Campbell bemoaning the fact that the fixture is going cost the Monarchs a lot of money and that they have had another loss making season.
-
Dont about the tracks, but these meetings the last 2 nights have been better than any meetings I have seen in UK this season, some really close dicing and Emil really showed what we are missing in Gp's
-
Thanks.simple really ,should have though of that.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facenna's own the Stadium .

Do you know the reason that Adam Ellis could not ride for aTeam in PL and be able to ride for Brummies then? just wondering!

Who Should Get The Gp Wild-card Spots For 2016?
Fromafar replied to Electric6's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
When you watch Emil its a shame that he can't be persuaded to ride in Gp's he is exciting and truly world class. -
I believe Kildemand had the fastest time on the night,so much for Tai's speed. Dont think Tai would let Hancock win just for the Monster connection though as Greg is a danger to him if things go wrong maybe settled for 2nd after he realised he was not going to pass him but I don't think he "let him win the final"

Who Should Get The Gp Wild-card Spots For 2016?
Fromafar replied to Electric6's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
On what we have seen this year Kildamand definitely deserves to be in the Gp's next year.Unfortunately although he qualified by rights Harris is taking up a spot just making up the numbers again but that's seems to happen with a lot of riders at the lower end of the scorers.think the series needs a revamp regarding the bottom end of the qualifiers.Imo -
Posf1 - Belle Vue Aces Vs Swindon Robins, 14 Sep 2015
Fromafar replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That was a load of rubbish, track prep was poor even with excuses for weather ,only one racing line, slick as the M6.Elite League though must be good!!!!!!!!! -
These last 4 pages show how big a joke the sport is,now we can't even arrange a fixture .
-
Good news that the Comets are running next year.
-
Is there a definite deadline for declaring whether we run next season or not. Will the present Promotion definitely give up their licence if no offers of help or takeover are forthcoming.Overtures seem to indicate that they have lost their enthusiasm rather than huge financial losses.
-
I enjoyed it,even although the track was slick the riders could try any moves without fear of hitting ruts and taking off like you see on these temporary tracks.Give world class riders decent permanent tracks and you would see some decent GPs most weeks.

Sweden are World Cup Team Champions, hardly puts them in the same boat as GB.IMO
