  1. New forum looks alot tidier, nice one.

  2. This wasn't really that enjoyanble a GP, but i'm comparing to leszno so maybe that's a little unfair. Credit has to go for getting the meeting going & tbh the track held out really well & there was some improvement later in the meeting. I'll add my twopenneth to the Harris/Andersen debate. Hans elbowed Bomber & put him off balance, it was an unneccessary move, he would have got passed Chris eventually anyway & didn't need to be so desperate. Ziegler got the decision correct, no brainer.
  3. It would be nice if both we're commemorated. Sep 11 too. I'm reading the book now norbold but only just got to the end of his Brandon days. I' found it fascinating how he struggled early on to stay aboard his machine whilst he perfected his amazing talent. Many of the greats found this too, including, more recently Billy Hamill.
  4. It didn't go to plan for Tai certainly, but you can bet he's learnt a hell of alot from last night. I doubt very much that he will let this get the better of him, just move on to the next meeting.
  5. At last a GP that does the wide spaces of Leszno justice. Thank you Mr Tony Olsson for allowing the guys that do the track get on with it, take a bow & long may that precedence continue. For once i can say i enjoyed watching a Grand Prix. Nobody really dominated this meeting, which made it all the better entertainment wise. Have to say though, Jason's move in Heat 10 was pure class. Loving it, loving it, loving it.
  6. I waited before i bought this book as a little dicky bird gave me an idea it may just be under the crimbo tree........................and so it was. I will finish reading Jeff's "Quantum of Shale" then "As luck would have it" will get my full attention. Looking forward to reading the story of a true showman.
  7. Delighted to see the UK has yet another humdinger of a round. The Norfolk Arena is absolutely the right choice too. looking forward already
  8. Ok then sr, will this suffice. I challenge all of you that are English to change their avatar in support of Chris & Tai
  9. Funny isn't it how us brits like to call the Aussies whingers. Well, some of you brits on here could whinge for queen & country. .......yet i wonder how many will be waving there british flags at cardiff. Irony
  10. That's just it isn't it. This is Bomber's big chance to prove he has got what it takes, his last chance probably. Nobody on here has considered that Chris himself might feel that way too. Nobody has said that Chris might think he's gonna need time out if he can't get in the top 8 this time, the same way as Nicholls has been honest about it this year.
  11. This failure is all the more reason to back him to turn his GP form around Rob, not sure of the reason why BA left his pit crew, but Bomber needs him back, wouldn't you agree.
  12. Excuse me everybody, but is anybody on here English & proud to be English & proud of our English sportsmen? Just thought i'd better ask.
  13. Ditto, so come on Chris mate, slate him. For the record i commented on 1 blip & have backed him since, unlike others, only fair says i.
  14. Lindback hasn't earnt a chance cos he failed in the qualifiers, yes he has done 2 GP's in 2009 & was superb but couldn't do it when it mattered. Miedzinski is a very very long shot in any case.
  15. Here's to hoping Chris get's back on the radio & has a dig at these characters too. Hoping for too much, thought so!!!
  16. Well it had to be Hans & Freddie really didn't it. It was just a question of who would be the other 2 nominated riders. There was always going to be at least 1 brit in there & Chris is British Champion as well as being the next rider in line after Freddie at the GP Challenge so there you have it, like it or lump it. I have said that i think Tai needs another year & i stand by that, i just hope that this opportunity is the making of him rather than the ruin of him as we've seen with others, for his sake & for his dad's sake. Who else would i have put in instead? Zagar or G Laguta. Anyway, that's just my opinion & good luck to all 4.
  17. No it doesn't.Where was he in the GP Challenge Final. Did he qualify, no. Tai will get his chance but 2010 is 1 year to soon. Think about it, he's dealing with a hell of a lot privately isn't he & there is far more to come. I take my hat off to the lad & his Mother how they're dealing with that. The lad will need to deal with & get over that won't he, going into the GP this year will be a mistake, if he fails we may just see his head drop & yet another British superstar is lost to us, do we want to see that? NO. Give the lad another season, that's all i'm saying.
  18. Well tmc, i certainly wasn't disappointed & neither was the old man. A superb nostalgic look back at his career, i never realised Booey was so dominant at league level as he was. It's a measure of the man he is that he values this more than personal glory, a true teamster of the highest level. There are so many riders that went on to become big names that owe a huge debt to Booey, yet you'll never hear him shouting about it, what a gent.
  19. This is the way i see the wild cards going. Whoever is in 9th in this years series will get a pick , be that Nicki, Freddie, Rune or Bjerre, Andersen will also get a pick, which leaves 2 remaining. Of those currently in the series, Nicholls has stated he wants a year out & i don't think Adams will want one either, Walaszek & Ulamek won't be considered imo as there will already be 3 Poles, so that leaves only Harris of those currently in the series. 2 things go in Chris' favour, the above stated plus he's next in the pecking order after Freddie from the GP challenge. So on this imo Harris will get in, that leaves 1 more nomination Who? Lindback? Zagar? Tai? Laguta? Iversen?
  20. So it was an incident with Sully then, well he hardly comes up smelling of roses does he.
  21. I find this a little odd don't you. This year he said no cos of too many meetings & now he has the GP on top. I assume he will have a new Swedish club next year ,so what gives way. Not taking anything away from his performance, he was magnificent.
  22. Now that FTM is back you will see a marked improvement, as we already have.
  23. The meeting last night was fast & furious, maybe that's the reason for very little overtaking, there was plenty of dirt down as photos have proven. The incidents we're horrific & thankfully there's very little in the way of injury, best of luck to Grzegorsz. The Poles are amazing aren't they with their flags & chanting, the guy on the back straight that kept running onto the dog track was right in front of where we stood, naughty boy but very funny. If only speedway could generate these crowds all the time.................if only.
  24. Tis very true SJ that the camera never lies.I've just spotted yours truly on file 66 as well . I take my hat off to Zorro here, thrown about like a rag doll in Heat 15 & comes out on top, i do agree though that i'm unsure about what he'll add to GP, character though is one thing for certain. Noddy thoroughly deserves his chance to prove himself at that level & let's hope he can add some spice in a similar way that Emil has. Jarek is proven GP class so deserves to be there again, don't expect him to be in the EL next year though. So who will get nominations? IF Nicki drops out of the top 8, he will, same goes for Freddie, if they both stay in i expect the 1st nomination to go to Holta, the 2nd to Andersen & the 3rd & 4th between Harris, Lindback & Iversen. As some have said i can't see SKY or B.S.I/IMG going for no Brits in the series, right or wrong that's how i see it.
  25. The sun is out, the sky is blue. So is bomber's bike but i'm afraid that just won't do. Chris will score 10 tonight imo which will probably mean he'll just miss out. My top 3 Lindgren Holder Bjerre 4th Hampel 5th Davidsson Harris 6th
