Article on the Somerset website about the meeting. Josh rides for us in this one, but Somerset normally get priority on his services and Somerset will bring in a reserve for the meeting so both teams should be fairly evenly matched.Report here: http://somersetrebels.co/news.php?extend.1941

Thanks to Kyle Howarth, Peter Mole and Julie Reading and all that came to tonight's STAARS meeting, Next and final STAARS meeting this winter will be on Thursday 9th March at the New Barrack Tavern from 7:30pm

The Bates's have a plumbing and heating business in Barnsley.
-
Just a quick reminder to Tigers fans that we have a STAARS gathering this Thursday. Kyle Howarth, Peter Mole and Julie Reading will be joining us.
-
He and his co promoters have given Sheffield what every speedway fan wants for their club, STABILITY. The club wasn't in great shape when he and his co promoters took over and through investment in riders and other areas of the club, fans have returned and we've had competitive teams and been a little unlucky with injuries. Even with injuries Sheffield have always tried to get the best guests available. I'm sure he'll do a good job at Leicester !!!

I seem to remember people making negative comments about the team put together by the Rebels last season. Look what happened there, don't underestimate them !!!
-
Yes, Speedway Star confirms the team will be announced next week.
-
Really enjoyed watching Holder racing at the EOES in the 4s earlier this year, great signing !!!
-
That's the best completed team on paper, so far.
-
Great news to hear Steady is staying involved at Sheffield !!!

Think with the new rules this year, we'll see more guests than ever in both leagues.

Kyle Howarth confirmed on Tigers Twitter as Tigers 3rd signing for 2017. Great to have him back !!!
-
Going by that philosophy the teams that have signed/announced no riders yet, might as well not bother in 2017.
-
No, we have another 4 months to announce the team and given our current promotions previous record, I know there's no way our team will be left with what's left.
-
After the winter of 2013, the 2017 signings can take as long as they need for me, just pleased we have club in good shape with good promoters and looking to the future. I heard the Dimitri rumours as well and slightly surprised to see him riding Premier League in 2017, good luck to him at Berwick as he did a good job for us in 2016. The track at Shielfield will definitely suit him, he should be prolific around there. Hope you are keeping well mate !
-
To be honest it's hardly worrying, there's 4 months to tapes up for 2017 and with 3 less teams in the league this year there should be plenty of riders to go round.
-
Julie Reading (Sheffield Promoter and attendee at the BSPA AGM) confirmed at STAARS on Thursday that JPB/Jack Smith and any newcoming British riders to the Premier League will come in on a 2.00 point average.
-
Thanks to all that attended STAARS tonight, next STAARS meeting will be Thursday 8th December 2016 from 7:30pm at the New Barrack Tavern.
