  1. Couldn't agree more, majority of teams fans that have gone from PL to EL can't wait to go back to PL or even NL.
  2. Agree about the publicity bit. After Jonathan Chapman made some comments about Sheffield in 2007 before the playoff semifinal, there were literally hundreds of Tigers fans that travelled to Saddlebow Road that night, the 3rd bend terrace wasn't big enough. It's probably still the best atmosphere I remember at a Sheffield away meeting.
  3. In today's Sheffield Star that Garrity is a lot better after a few days rest:http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/other-sports/speedway/tigers-star-garrity-raring-to-go-after-a-rare-week-of-rest-1-7461888
  4. Cant agree with that, Peterborough were happy to give us a rearranged date in July at 10 days notice when Tigers had 3 riders out injured and 10 PL teams riding that night severely limiting our options on guests. Tigers consequently having to put a weak team out with Josh Bates also riding while ill, didn't see Panthers complaining too much about it that night and Tigers just got on with it.
  5. A confirmed date for the meeting at Peterborough would be good as well.
  6. We probably didn't put a challenge meeting on as we fully expected to be riding our first playoff meeting this Thursday.
  7. To be honest I don't think the Peterborough promotion care too much about travelling support, I and many others from Sheffield booked hotel rooms for our original fixture date of 17th April as we were at Rye House the day after, then it was changed at short notice with no official reason given. No apology, no nothing and money and days off down the drain.
  8. If I interpret the GSA's correctly, column C is only allowed for home meetings so Ricky Wells average will be too high for Ulrich at Sheffield. He would be able to be used at Peterborough though.
  9. Ricky can guest at Peterborough, but not at Sheffield as column C only counts for home meetings in the BSPA regs.
  10. If he has a sicknote which I assume he does, its not cheating, if he chooses to ride longtrack the day after that's upto him.
  11. Confirmed on Tigers Twitter that there's no meeting tomorrow, but hoping to stage first round of the playoffs next Thursday (17th September)
  12. Think you are mixing me up with someone else, I have no idea who stopped Garry going in the pits ,in fact I didn't even know about it until i read it on here.
  13. Would have thought it was the BSPA, as it was their meeting yesterday ???
  14. Good to see Jason getting a max tonight, hopefully carry that form onto Sunday !!!
  15. I don't believe so and neither did Rohan Tungate who also pulled out of last years PLRC to ride in Poland.
  16. Olly Allen Shame Danny King isn't riding, would have been one of the favourites for sure.
  17. Considering how wet the track was and the downpour before the start it was a decent meeting. Well done to Graham and the guys on the track team for sorting it so it could be raced on. Well done to Jack Parkinson Blackburn on winning the MDL Riders Championship !!!
  18. Tigers changes from Monday, Stead and Sissis out, Andre and Robin Aspegren in: http://www.sheffieldspeedway.co/news.php?extend.1934
  19. Brady and Zach as guests for Sheffield. Redcar have Ricky Wells and Matt Wethers as guests and R/R for Robbo. If Tigers ride like they did last week it should be a comfy home win.
  20. Agree. Some people only see the negative, Josh's improvement since coming under the tutalege of Steady has been fantastic and along with Steady and Garrity should be the first name on the team sheet next season.
  21. Given Garrity and Sissis were out injured, and given the poor performance by the middle order at Berwick, I thought it would be a easy win for Edinburgh. Couldn't have been more wrong and a great win for the Tigers. All the guys put a great effort in and Josh's ride to pass both Branford and Sedgman in heat 8 was very Steadesque and a tremendous piece of racing in the race of the night. Brady was in tremendous form won his rides towards the end of the meeting by a great distance and got to be favourite for the PLRC on that showing. Overall an excellent night for the Tigers with another good crowd, great fast racing, great atmosphere and the bonus of some new floodlights being installed in the stadium over the next few weeks.
