  1. I doubt it's well paid work for a GP qualifier but it should be paid work. We differ in opinion. Dont disagree some effort should be put in but realistically you can't be left with only expenses for a days work if, using a good example, you were Lambert who came 4th and traveled from the UK.
  2. Every rider should be paid for his work. He would have expenses for travel and his team.
  3. To add to KK and Kolodziej - no chance with any luck. Very unlikely it would happen but if results went well for the Poles in the 2018 GP and Challenge there could be 7 in the 2019 GP's which is overload. I don't agree with wildcards for the challenge but would bend in the case of injury. Nor do I agree with a local wildcard which is pointless and unfair. Places should be earnt in the GP series not given away. Under the current rules I hope the rider who finished 4th in each qualfier gets the wild card.
  4. Agree with you Ghost that the decision is strange but Nicki Pedersen rides in Poland but then says his hand is too sore to ride in Sweden. What is his Swedish TM supposed to do ?
  5. Maybe because the best 15 are already in the GP's ? Those on the list have earned it.
  6. A quiet word "let me win". Cant condone that. I liked Mark Loram very much but would he have won the world title without Joe Screen's help. If that happened against one of our riders all hell would have let loose.
  7. You know it for certain, that Lambert thought Bewley was no danger, or are you having a wild guess with no knowledge ? They both ride in England and Bewley has been cleaning up points. How could Lambert think he was no danger. He's not stupid or blind. Why should Bewley get out of Lambert's way ? Are we accepting that we openly cheat to throw races.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g2N55jW2zA found this buts its stopped
  9. the worst format was when riders deliberately got beat to keep gate one in the next heat. Rickardson was the main rider doing that. Boring to see him trap out from the best gate in each heat. Easier to win a world title in those days.
  10. 24 riders is a waste of cash. Fringe riders not keen to travel for maybe just two rides before elimination. Mark Loram said it was pointless for him.
  11. cream rising to the top. It would be nice to see a new face or two but a few from that list I'd rather not see in 2019 GP's.
  12. As Ghost says there is no time to fit the meetings into the schedule although that could be changed. But main issue is team places and no time to get sponership. Good idea but dont think it could work

  14. That's right. Woffinden & Lambert are our team with Bewley as reserve. GP rider or not Cook is out of form, says it himself. If he has a great Prague GP then Rosco will have a nice problem.
  15. You are right about Nicholls and Richardson. They made a stand, as Tai did, and should be congratulated for having the morals to drop out rather than ride when its shambles from top to toe. They had to pay to ride for their own country and rightly refused. Woffiden would have lost a lot on money in sponsorship by not riding. Pat him on the back, do not give him a hard time, Team GB in a far better place now than before.
  16. make your mind up, not bothered now but you were in your previous post. Tai has been proven right about Team GB, how it's managed and how professionally run it should be. You should thank him for taking a stand not berate him. Go back to Manchester and he nearly did win the SWC on his own.
  17. I see your point about nerves playing a part.
  18. Tai was 19, Cook is 30, different maturity level in the sport. And when in contention Tai put his bike where he knew he could get hurt. His best result in his first season was 7th so we'll see what happens in the remaining GPs. The other riders would have seen Cook tentative and will bully or rough him up every time. They know he can be moved out the way easily. I want him to do well but he won't win a heat with his Warsaw style of riding. He'll need to accept close racing and crashing is part of GP racing. I hope he does himself proud but I'm commenting on what we've all seen at Warsaw. He's done better at Cardiff as a wild card so there is hope.
  19. If we use your system riders who have already attempted to cheat in the heats get a free pass to try to cheat in the Semi or Final. I don't see the merit in that. WE all want a level start so why encourage something that may stop it. If riders try to cheat they must expect to be penalised.
