  1. We are all supporting him but on last nights showing he will be last in every GP. He led one race but wouldn't put his bike anywhere near where a challenge was coming from. Compare with Tai in his semi final. He could have been hit from behind or clipped wheels and sent tumbling. If Cook is to succeed he have to show a willingness to get into tough situations. Riding safe will see him fail. How much does he want it ?
  2. Pick the best two for Wroclaw not Manchester. We would have to have a terrible night not to qualify with Woffinden and Lambert against the opposition in our semi final.
  3. Unless Cook does better in Prague the top two should be Lambert and Woofy. Bewley as reserve.
  4. He will be much worse than Bomber as on tonights effort he isn't willling to go where he may get hurt. If he gets 5pts in any GP meeting he will have gone above my expectation. At this level crashing is part of the deal. I want him to do well but doubt he will. I can see Lambert being picked for Manchester.
  5. this is superb speedway. woofy didn't win the heat but had to show bravery beyond the call of duty to clamp down on challenges.
  6. Brilliant race. 3 riders putting it on the line. surprised no one came down.
  7. hope this is wrong but the racing is so tight I'm thinking that there will be more crashes than ever in 2018. Feel sad for Pedersen as he cant hold the bike. He has been in excellent form but not tonight.
  8. I thought the delay in excluding Doyle was that the ref maybe had to check if Laguta had to go as well. He also touched the tapes. What happens if two riders go through the tapes at exactly the same time.
  9. This is easy for me to write, never ridden a bike, but Cook won't put himself at risk in a race. Not commited enough.
  10. The Iversen interview has to be ranked as the most stupid ever. Q/ you've had a good start. A/ I've scored 2 from 3 rides so that's pretty crap. If they can't get someone to ask proper questions why bother.
  11. No ! The sport needs its biggest star riding. Because he did something positive which, at the time was negative, he got things changed. Good for him and the future of Team GB. Only a fool would not see that.
  12. He didn't ride for well stated reasons. Things have changed with investment so it's had a desired effect.
  13. Be an difficult choice between Cook and Lambert given current form in Poland. I'm hoping Cook can have two good GP's this month. I'm very pleased Woffy is now back in the mix. Some people won't be happy but he always rides with great pride for GB.
  14. Woffy available for selection. Some will moan but I think that is great news.
  15. It's the best 16 riders, almost, so the cost is fair for the extra amount of heats.
  16. One month into the season. Plenty of time for fortune to change. I did read Middleditch's quote "No need to panic or have a team change as it's early in the season". Then a team change happened within a few days. That says his views aren't the same as Ford's which would worry me. Could be wrong but I have a feeling Middleditch is a YES man to Ford so that he keeps his job.
  17. Sorry Tom I must have missed that vital piece of information. But I was just highlighting how silly (my opinion, probably not your's) this thread is becoming. Forums will always have faceless people. I'd be trying not to let them wind me up or annoy me.
  18. Says a guy called The Doctor
  19. Maybe it's time for a new team manager at Poole ?
  20. Thanks. I read the updates and it did seem drawn out with watering. Lots of standing around in the heat for spectators today.
  21. Big crash in heat 1 but its taken over 150 minutes to run 15 heats at Rye. Scott Nicholls hit form this weekend in a big way.
  22. I cannot see why you're being so personal in replying to my original post. So that isn't nice, and the tone is also pretty rude, which is not welcome. We have two differing opinions so you'll have to accept it and deal with it. As you correctly say 'you'll often be wrong' despite gathering copius amounts of knowledge in your 50 years in speedway. I'll continue watching these meetings and enjoy them. Hope you can understand all the above. Have a nice day in the sun Rob.
  23. I haven't seen the Speedway Star but wish you luck with the project. Anyone who can get sponsorship into the sport has done well. We have some good young talent and I hope you have Woffy involved too. You will get negativity on here, I often wonder if some posters like the sport or prefer moaning. Ignore people like Humphrey. Hope you have some success.
