Oh no no no no ! Dual World Champ. Your mate Pedersen is huge on physical fitness isn't he.
-
100 % fitness can only improve performance. Reaction time at the gate is vital as is reaction time in a race. Its proven in other sports that mind memory excercise improves reaction and anticipation.
-
Agree. Nothing personal to Schlein, great competitor, but he is an Aussie. We must be able to find someone from GB to fill in the program.

I think the final will give some great racing and a close finish with a few nations in with a chance halfway through Day 2. Weather forecast not so good now. Chance of rain on Saturday evening. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0/3081363

That will be Rosco.

Agreed.

As a manager what do you do for a man lacking in self belief ? It's not to pick him as first choice then drop him after one ride.
-
That is lack of self belief from Cook and the manager added to that loss by the way its been handled.
-
No problem having Lambert in front of Cook. Current form says that is an easy pick. But why embarass Cook with one ride and then drop him.
-
Easy for me to say but Cook wont put the bike where there is a chance of a clash. He rides over safe and at this level it gets you zero points.
-
Understand your point, if lambert gets a knock then Cook can ride. But the chances of that are, fingers crossed, quite slim.

Rosco did the right thing last night, the best two riders were paired 5 times but didn't get his team selection right. Everyone knew the majority of Cook's rides would go to Lambert. So he should have picked Lambert with Bewley as reserve. Leave Cook out the team. Dropping Cook after one heat is complete embarassment for the rider. Rosco will probably do the same at Wroclaw as GB have got Sweden in there first heat. He obviously wants Lambert to ride as first choice so why ruin Cook's confidence and morale more than it is. I don't see the point of that and wouldn't blame Cook if his head went down in the pits.

Track looked saturated early in the meeting which stopped riders passing as they couldn't see and it was very heavy. It looked a hot day so no blame attached to track staff. Really good from Woffy who again stuck two fingers up to his haters. Lambert was excellent and happy to mix it when it got tight. Feel sad for Cook as dropping him after one heat is an embarassment and it's hardly going to build confidence. Rosco didn't want him but (I thought) he felt he had to put a GP rider in the team. Cook would have been better being not selected as Lambert is by far the better rider on current form. If GB got a 5-1 in the first heat Rosco would have had to stick with Cook but dropping a point gave Rosco an open door. Will he do the same at Wroclaw. One heat, get a 5-1 or your out. That is unfair. Pleased the Aussies made the final as we'll see the world champion and Fricke should go well at his home track. The final should be a lot better than the two semi's as the teams are better matched, no soft heats. Could be a belter.

I said above it was crazy. National league in the UK is probably very low pay, more of a hobby for the riders who break even or just above. Doubt a top UK rider like Nicholls or Bomber would ever go that low but Hancock will be on big wages. Can't blame Hancock, he is a pro and has to earn but the system is wrong when a GP rider can dip into the 3rd tier.

Why not be nice Rob or people will start thinking you are adjective: pompous 1. affectedly grand or self-important.
-
He does that cos he's on his own and can't have a chat with a co-commentator. I've heard him get confused plenty of times with riders and the Swedish rules. Read through the threads on this forum as he is always asking questions. No commentator is perfect, happens in all sports.. I wish people would realise they are human.

The constant Pearson / Tatum criticism on here is so boring. Get a life and think of another subject to moan about ladies and gents.
-
We'll get through from Manchester without much fuss. Cook goes well there and if he has a bad night Lambert is at peak at the moment.
-
Twice you've said it was poor racing but you want to go back. Why bother with the GP ticket, go for a holiday instead.
