But I thought that others might see it as you wanting Poole to close, but I remember you posting about hoping Poole continue to run, so unless you were completely contradicting yourself I knew it wasn't you wanting a club to close. Your other log in account 'basso on the gasso' defintely seem to get 'excited' and 'revel' in the fact that Poole were having rent issues. That isn't banter, it is very sad!

I'm sure Skidder or Ray will correct me if I haven't remembered this correctly but after the lockdown didn't the council have to be involved in talks then as Poole Stadium was being used as a covid testing centre? And they were trying to sort out what parts of the stadium could be used for speedway? I'd be slightly worried if the council haven't been involved in talks yet.

Yes, happening more and more now unfortunately. Although it is not just speedway, a bar in Poole the landlords put the rent up 68%!! Was on the local news.

They rent it off the council though, so not sure if they can say it's non negotiable at Poole? As wouldn’t they have to get permission off the council to do that?

Not always, when Poole signed Leigh Adams, BV offered him more money but he didn't choose them. But that may have been more of a geographical issue. Not all riders just go for the money, I would have thought the full package a club can offer is better for them. I like it when Jaizer bites to SS as I learn more about Glasgow as I don't know much about the club owners and everything they put into the club.

I think Diamonds85 is really confusing the issue a 4 is after the 8 and anything lower than a 5 is rounded down...? And even if you do the two digits after, it is 47 and anything under 50 is rounded down.

Matt first mentioned this rent issue in the meeting vs Brum on August BH Mon and now we are in Dec, so slightly worrying how long it is taking. But maybe he is just standing his ground more than other people would? A poster earlier did mention that it is a case of crossing the t's and dotting the i's. Hope that is correct!

Don't be thick. The council own the land the stadium is on not Stadia UK, speedway would have been out years ago if they owned it imo.

Exactly thanks for that People posting their assumptions isn't helpful to fans who just want to know what is happening. That is why I am just sticking to what official media sources are reporting on the situation.

You are passing over a lot of assumptions as fact, so there is no guarantee that is true. So best not to create rumours on the situation. Unless of course you wish to quote someone official to do with the club or stadium or council.
