  1. Monarchs have a big hitting number 1 and an 8 pointer. In fact they started the season with the top 2 having higher combined averages than they have finished it with (same riders though).
  2. Fair comment. But I never trust any club's website to be up to date.
  3. It's in the paper (well the online edition at least) and I've heard about it and I'm not local. I'll be there.
  4. Since the sport only has OAPs as spectators, so we are told, they will probably be glad to get away from little brats terrorising them. It might be warmer at the Showground too!!
  5. Max missed 1 or 2 as well I think and Aaron had 2 big knocks - his leg and then when we was wiped out by Matty on the telly match. Come on Rob you can do better than that!! It's pretty obvious that one ride each from Morris, Aspgren, Wright and T Kurtz is better than one each from Fricke, Sedgmen, Sneddon & Fox. If you want to use the last set of averages, their's is over 4 points ahead of the Monarchs ones. And Derek pulled out of his last ride at Ippo and then missed the meetings at Edinburgh and Worky so is battling to be fit to ride again, rather than just riding with an injury as you suggest. He was riding with the injury for weeks. The boys will give their all as always this season, but the odds have shifted in Somerset's favour.
  6. Might even things average-wise between the pair but 2 of Stevie's rides will be taken by our reserves who are VERY poor away from home (and Deek is battling against an injury ) whereas Brady's can be taken by Morris, Aspgren, Wright & big brother Kurtz I believe. Mega advantage to Somerset.
  7. Is it true that Somerset are increasing the admission price and the programme price for this meeting?
  8. Sweet dreams I say. This is what happened the last time it mattered - http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/speedway/grand-final-berth-booked-as-monarchs-win-at-comets-1-3556012

  10. Used to have it - till the missus gave all the vinyl away to a jumble sale without me knowing!!

  12. Not that well, it was April 1974!! Just for the record then, how about Tina Turner, March 1985? Yes that well. The album came out in 1974 but the single charted in 1973. !!! http://www.last.fm/music/Ann+Peebles/_/I+Can't+Stand+the+Rain
  13. A guest? What am I missing? Thought kurtz was third in the averages?
  14. Morris is always one of the strongest riders at the Dale. Brady had not yet mastered the place. As said, Allen can't be that bad again there. So Somerset should score well there. I doubt Foxy has ridden Somerset yet so isn't likely to score many if any. Todd K is a double figure man there at the minute. As are the others apart from maybe Starke, though if Lambert can get 14 out of 15 against the Mons then possibly Starke could too given our weakness at reserve. So Somerset should be stronger over all. There ya go!! Now I just need our boys to prove me wrong as usual!!
