Sheffield v Leicester - Thursday 1st August

Hard luck Lions. Still think the super heat is ridiculous for anything except the bonus point. -
On another note did anyone else attending notice David Hemsley's luminously white new teeth? I did wonder if the blinding flash was what caused Max Fricke to fall off

The criticism of Speedway has always been that the first out the gate wins more often than not. It's the times where that doesn't happen that we all remember and that keeps us coming back for more. Well those of us who are left anyway! I certainly won't defend BP, it's always been a poor shape, but unless someone has the money to rip it up and start again then we're stuck with it, like it or not, so riders/fans/management have to make the best of it. With good prep and riders willing to attack it there can be good races. Unfortunately the latter two things don't always seem to go together and that was painfully obvious last night. Even SD alluded to it in his post match interview.

It was better last week. Not so much dirt this week seemingly.

Nasty accident for Bewley. Long break.

On your phone is fine, they need to scan the QR code.

I love watching him at full tilt anywhere, but with a Tiggers bib on it does stick in my throat somewhat! I do think guests take away from the sport massively. Nobody I've ever tried to get interested can understand it. Can just about get away with doubling up but guests in a team sport? -

Cracking battle between Millik and Pollestad there! -
Lions as per normal but R/R for Jack Holder and Troy Batchelor guests for Tai Woffinden. Can the Lions beat a patched up Sheffield or will they run us as close as they did Oxford on Monday?

Something about ripping it up too early. -

Not a good track, dirt is so far out that anything other the scraping the fence won’t work. -

Seems slightly overwatered in these initial heats. -
Becker really is dire, phoning it in completely.
-
Impressed with Killeen, tidy rider and not adrift at all.
-
I could swallow that if he was crap at and hated BP but did ok at other tracks, but he’s been dreadful away too.
-
Certainly something has to change at either 3 or 4 because that is killing us at the moment.
-
I have an amazing idea they can use, it’s called television camera. It’s on a fixed point with an experienced operator pointing it at the action.
-
You did, I hear he’s good friends with Dan Bailey.
-
Masters the only rider I’ve ever seen with a brake! Has he tried the engine from a Flymo?

Luke Killeen guesting in place of Hagon now.
