  1. I think there is a good chance that it will be 6 man teams next season. No idea what the combined average per team will be and whether they continue with an NL 3 pointer at number 6 and, say, a supplementary reserve at no.5 (or wherever in the team), remains to be seen. Very little appears to be coming out of the practice matches held at King's Lynn, so really, once again, we have no idea what's going on!
  2. Nathan Greaves not riding at No. 7 for Sheffield? EDit: Just seen he's U19-ing. Unusual for Sheffield to ride on a Wednesday. Any particular reason for it??
  3. Replaced by Kyle Howarth, which means Rye House don't have a representative: http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31262
  4. Not necessarily. If Steve and Victor are both missing too, then we can have guests for Steve and Robert and R/R or Victor.
  5. He injured a hip at Plymouth last night (couldn't do heat 15 because of it). From Robert Lambert Racing Facebook page: After last night I did go to the doctor to get checked out and get some treatment on my hip before tonight's meeting. But I got advised by my doctor to not raceuntil it gets better and singed me off for a minimum of 48h after the incident happened, witch means I couldn't race tonight at Leicester and tomorrow at Sheffield. I'm really upset about that I can't race at Sheffield for the plrc on Sunday and was a big meeting for me on my calendar. But when your body says no then I can't go against what it say and make more damage. I hope to be back Monday for Newcastle just need to see how things go over the next 2 days. Sorry to all the fans and supporters who was going to Sheffield to see me racing round there. But I'll be back strong better than going there and being weak. Have a good night everyone and sorry for the bad news.
  6. They are also riding against Swindon on Wednesday, so one of them must be a re-arranged fixture, but I don't know which one! Just to complicate things - this is a re-arranged fixture as well of course - so I presume Belle Vue will have first call on him. So it looks like a guest at 1 and R/R at 2.
  7. Arrived at 7 pm according to updates (15 mins before the start)
  8. Newcastle have one change..... Roy Clarke will be Team Manager for the night!
  9. Ht 9: Worrall, Andersen, Skidmore, Phillips. 3-3 27-26 54.7 Ht 14: Andersen, Robson, Rose, Payne. 3-3 40-43 56.6
  10. Perhaps, whoever does the E-newsletter thingy, they could tell us who Ron Branford is? Is it Rob's brother?
  11. The BSPA could give them an extension on their intention to run, to give them extra time (if needed) to find a buyer.
  12. Selling a speedway club is like privately selling a car for example. You say how much you want for it, the person who may buy, gives a price and you agree to it or you 'haggle' until some agreement of purchase/non-purchase is made.
  13. I really do wonder what 'people' get out of doing something like this. Northside have had a similar problem, with the track and it's facilities being vandalised and thefts having taken place. Someone, somewhere must know the culprits. Let's hope they do the decent thing and 'shop' them.
  14. Double headers count as one match in guest situations. Edinburgh lost two riders in the first match of their double header on Friday and Lee Payne guested for them in the second match against Plymouth, after riding for Redcar in the first one.
  15. Excellent. Two new teams in the PL.... or maybe this is in the wrong section?
  16. Just been called off according to Buxton Twitter feed.
  17. The match at Workington was called off at 9am, so the chances are that the fans would not have traveled.
  18. No rain forecast after 2pm-ish. It's now 11.35am. It would have been called off by now, so it's all systems go for what should be a cracker (as Frank Carson used to say).
  19. I'd guess (and it's only a guess) that Workington would have given Redcar many dates before the deadline/cut-off, but Redcar couldn't agree to any of them.
