When it was announced, I did suggest one of those names you mention to my mate standing next to me. He suggested another of the above names ! One would expect the "new" promoter would be someone with experience (i.e a former or current one). Don't know if Ben (Duffill) would step back in with his BSN commitments and his own business to run, and would Kevin Keay (who sometimes posts on the Forum) step back in? Who knows (apart from Ben and Kevin, of course !!). How would it work? Just the same as it does currently, I would think, just a different name as Co-promoter instead of Jamie. I would just like to add my very best wishes to Jamie for whatever he is going to do in the future. Who knows, a "fresh face" at Redcar might just be what the club needs (and that is not being detrimental to Jamie).

That would depend on whether the "one over the eight rule" is still a go-er for 2027, as, currently Wright is on 8.90 and Klindt is 8.81. IF the one over the eight rule stays, you can't have both.

Everyone apart from Kildemand can take a R/R ride for Palovaara. This changes on 1st Sept when VP drops to 4th in the averages when Kildemand and Morris can't (Etheridge moves to the one above VP).

Kind of.... but in football, they have a squad of 25, so if someone quits, or gets injured, one of the 13 others steps up/in. Not quite the same as losing your 2nd best rider and not being able to replace him, is it really?

British final 15th August

It's the National Stadium. So, that's like the equivalent of Wembley for football. All major UK speedway events should be held there IMO. Otherwise it's not a National Stadium. -

As mentioned above, it's replacing "The Motorbike Show" which is a series presented by Henry Cole & Pete "The Restorer" Thorne. So no one "losing out" really. -
He's also a number 1 in the "top flight" !!

How long have many people been saying this for now? Almost every winter we hear "this is one of the most important AGM's we have ever had," yet, year on year, hardly anything changes. A tweak here or there, when a mass overhaul of the sport in the UK is needed - before it's too late. The clock is ticking.

If the "Top Man" you refer to is Graham Trollope, then "I've heard" (as many on this Forum say) that he is only there in an "advisory capacity". Make of that what you will.

Did any of the "new foreigners" look any good to take a gamble on in the Jay Cartmell Meeting ?? -

Unfortunately with there being no mods, users can post what they want now and simply get away with it, which is just one reason why so many former users have stopped using the Forum and also very sad (a bit like the user you have quoted). So do I.

Point a) They have KO Cup & BSN fixtures to fit in as well - so 8 League + 2 BSN (poss more) + 1 (poss more) KO Cup = at least 11 + poss extra BSN/KO Cup. point b) Scrap the BSN Series - 16 should be fairly straight forward (even with all the Friday tracks).
