If he definitely isn't riding for the IOW ( did that get resolved one way or the other?) I think you could be right.

Paul Goldsmith is our main sponsor I think, and did look and he does say that, so does make you think it could be true. What plan b is I don't know but at least there's something to talk about now.

Perhaps we can name rider replacement at No 8, would give us a bit of flexibility!

As Adam hasn't started the season, do the rules allow you to go straight to rider replacement, or have we got to declare a team with another rider?

No Adam Extance this year apparently, his damaged knee won't stand up to the stress of speedway! Didn't even get to the first race this year without having to make team changes or r/r. .....Shame, was looking forward to seeing him ride.

Going for strength in depth then without an out and out number one,just like the Kings!!! Although having seen JPB at Eastie last year think he'll be on a 9 by the end of the season.

Don't think they look like Birmingham did over the last 2 years,they pretty much looked likely to win it from day one in the league, unless Eastie had raised their game at the end of last season which they didn't. Don't get me wrong will be one of the challengers, but only one of 5/6 teams this year.

May not be the case but when he was in charge at Eastbourne he lived in Brighton and think he still does. Not everyone would want to move up to Manchester to a job that could be short term.

Anyone who doesn't give the nl a go is missing out. I thought the same when Eastie dropped down, took me a couple of meetings to adjust, but all of a sudden thought hey this Bradley Wilson Dean is pretty exiting, and can this rider called Georgie Wood really come from a try out day? Unpredictable racing, and unlike the so called Elite, the chance of someone coming from 4th to first. Give it a go, rather than condem it beforehand.

When the weather conditions allow and it's not too wet or worse still very hot and drying, the track at Arlington is normally about right, a little slick on the inside moving out to deeper stuff on the outer lines. The likes of Jake Knight mastered it pretty quickly and even the likes of beginners like Charley Powell became happier as the season went on. Away reserves varied in ability and control, but the reserve races were never a forgone conclusion of a 5/1.Go with a slightly deeper track on the outside and will definitely bring the riders on at some point.

Slightly ironic post now, but if you asked any Brummie fan last year the answer would be 'Yes'. Winning team with 7 riders trying their hearts out, both the Jack's were brilliant to watch when I saw them. This is coming from an Eastie fan by the way , not a die hard Brummie!

Just had a count up and 8 of the 12 teams have been predicted to get in the top 4 by different posters. Again sums up the fact it should be more open this year than the previous 2, which I think is great news for the NL.

I predict it could be unpredictable this season at least until June which is good!

Think he would be a terrific guest, unfortunately I bet it won't happen with his other commitments.

Had the pleasure to see a few seasons when Nicki P and Crump were at their peak 10 years or so ago at Eastbourne,if you saw their head to head races he was far from boring.They did bring the best out of each other,not quite the racer Nicki was, but the fastest I've ever seen there,not always from the gate and he's still joint track record holder.Like all the top riders at that time needed to be up against a Pedersen or Adams not to look boring
