  1. From what I can remember, Jake didn't ride many times last year at home apart from the infamous tac sub against Glasgow so how do we know how he is gonna perform? Give the lad a chance! Ashley Birks wasn't fantastic to start with or going back a few seasons, Tai Woffinden and Josh Auty weren't brilliant to start with either!
  2. It says in The Sheffield Star today that Richard Hall is likely to be back.
  3. ...or Joe is only the remaining member so far... Like you say, the plot thickens.
  4. Yep, we've signed Jake Knight on full transfer! Now on our Tigers website and twitter.
  5. I thought Jordan Frampton had retired before the end of last season?
  6. For goodness sake! All this doom and gloom and we've only signed 2 riders... it wasn't that long ago that some posters on here were having Damien Koppe on their wish list!
  7. Would be great if it was Rocco! Just checked out how old he is now and he turned 16 last May!
  8. In the Sheffield Star today:- SHEFFIELD hope to name the second member of their squad for 2013 soon. The Tigers have all but tied up a deal for the unnamed foreign rider. Team manager David Hoggart said: “He’s a rider who has not ridden in Britain and someone who will be a brand new face at Owlerton for 2013. “We have worked hard over the last two months to do this deal and we’re delighted with it. There are just a few things left to complete, crossing the Is and dotting the Ts. “We don’t want to release the name until everything is 100% and that point should come within a day or two now. Sheffield fans will be pleased.” Hoggart also moved to quash internet rumours that the Tigers have struck a deal with Leicester’s Finnish international Kauko Nieminen. Interesting... who could it be?
  9. That's a good idea, I'd certainly complete it!
  10. And also a Sunday is a day for seeing family for a lot of people!
  11. To me, it's a strange idea at the possibility of moving race day to a Sunday. People have existing commitments at weekends, me included! This could be financial suicide...
  12. I wouldn't want to go on a Sunday, occasionally maybe, but not every week.
  13. If Sheffield are wanting to encourage more youngsters, I would have thought either Friday or Saturday as no school the following day, but then that clashes with most of the Premier League race nights. I can't see Tuesday encouraging more people to attend either. Personally, I'd keep it on a Thursday.
  14. Hoggy off to the centre green to announce, where he belongs!
  15. Permanently, or his usual trip at this time of year?
  16. Must admit, was a bit miffed that Sanchez wasn't riding when we were led to believe that we had our full 1-7 and then no explanation as to why!
  17. There's not gonna be any clubs left at this rate
  18. I thought we had a National League team last year held jointly with your lot!
  19. I'd have Tim in my team next year, really impressed with him when he came to Sheffield
