I can't find the British Speedway site either! -
Speedway On Eurosport
Hel'n'Back replied to michaelcroucher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well, I'm very happy with the coverage of the GPs on a Saturday night, courtesy of Eurosport! OK, the voice-overs may not be exactly accurate but I'm sure in time things will improve when they become more familiar with speedway and the riders' names and not just World/British Superbikes/Motogp (which they do a great coverage of!)...At least we get to see the GP in all it's fine and glory! -

I think the upturn in form by certain riders was temporary after watching tonight's shambles at Scunny! -
Will this rule be the end for Sheffield?
-
I would love David Howe at Sheffield at some point, he's just having a run of bad luck with injuries.

The other guy is Steve Day who sometimes commentates on Motogp and World Superbikes. -
Rye V Plymouth Sat 9th June
Hel'n'Back replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Aye, the parking at Rye is ridiculous, remember going there on a coach a couple of years ago and it took ages for us to leave... -
Last I heard, Derrol was a steal erector in Wales... and was making more money than being a speedway rider!
-
Oh dear.... is it going to be too late by the time the new averages come out to make team changes? The season is going to be over ...
-
Would be nice to see the Sheffield team every week... it seems a case of one on and one off! How can you build consistency like that?

Sheffield Vs Redcar Bears - Thurs 2/5/2013
Hel'n'Back replied to OdsalBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done Redcar, good times to come for you this year! I felt embarrassed tonight being a Sheffield supporter and I have never said that before! Also, thank god Hugh wasn't seriously injured in that horrific crash on the dog track. -

The voiceover sounded to me like Steve Day who sometimes commentates on World Superbikes if it clashes with British Superbikes. -

Ah well, will seriously consider whether it's worth reinstating sky sports for the elite league only then!!!!!! -
It says in the Sheffield Star that it will cause problems for Wolverhampton if Sheffield don't sign him because he is a Sheffield Speedway sponsored rider for his work permit so where will that leave Wolverhampton if he doesn't sign for Sheffield?
-
Good luck to him then! Don't know about him being influenced by an outsider but how will he have less rides and make more money?
-
Surely Ricky can't double up if he hasn't got a premier league place? If this is the case, what will happen with his Wolverhampton deal?
-
Hoggy has said in his article in the Sheffield Star that "people will look at the newcomers and worry that we're taking a gamble and I guess in many ways we are but we want to create a new era at Sheffield Speedway and all our riders signed so far are desperate to make it a success". Let's hope the gamble pays off!
-
Well, it looks like the last 3 are Richard Hall, Ricky Wells and Facundo Albin!
-
I would have preferred Stefan Nielsen but maybe the Sheffield promotion didn't want the same to happen again like it did with Ashley?
