Went to Buxton late May. Suppose to start 3pm. Ambulance was late so start delayed, but they could have done rider introductions prior to ambulance arriving, and started a little earlier. Roasting hot day, could have watered track more prior to start. At around 5.15, after only 12 races completed, announced an interval. This late should have been getting on with it (should not have even taken this long to get to this point). Myself and several others left at this point. A few left earlier. I have not been back, although I previously intended to do so.

Would have thought R/R would do better.

Is he doing both legs?

If we do get 8 teams, then how many fixtures will it be. Home and away twice? Home and away once with a "league cup", with two divisions of four each, or just once home and away. I'm asking as over the years, the number of matches has already reduced considerably.

Anyone know the replacements for Holder and Howarth in the second leg?

Were the four riders mentioned in the result the only participants?

Well if Fricke was to deliberately get a zero, and Kings Lynn still not get a play off spot, would he then lose the possibility of guesting for Sheffield in the play off, and the extra points money he could earn tonight.

Just wondering about the rules. As Jack is almost certainly not returning this year, do the rules allow a change, taking in to account, Sheffield have completed over 75% of their scheduled fixtures.

It's this sort of thing that has put me off going to Buxton. Take far too long. Certainly don't fancy waiting around for ages when the weather turns colder.

In view of the rain being forecast, it should have been tapes up at 7.30 ( not rider introductions), and get on with it a bit quicker. Owner's may have saved on wages, but I am now considering not going to the Belle Vue match. I pay to watch speedway, not for the introductions. How many others feel the same? Could have been an interesting finish. Could Sheffield have got the aggregate point? Could there have been a superheat for the aggregate point?. Could Kings Lynn have got a draw. We'll never know.

Seem recall hearing that previous promoter Neil Machin wanted to do this, but was refused permission from Stadium owners.

As long as it isn't Kings Lynn's pit gate. Don't want that breaking again 🙂

I'm wondering why Northampton. No association between them and Woffy that I know of. If the teams he has been involved with, that are still operating, Scunthorpe and Sheffield are the ones I first thought of.
