No wonder Jason opts for Sundays in Poland, a trip over to Sweden for Tuesdays and back home for the rest of the week. The odd open meeting on the continent and a GP every other week. There have been so many discussions on here that i lose track of them, but i posted on one recently that if you wanted to improve attendance of women, you have to provide nice clean toilets. I know my better half wouldn't even consider going because of her washroom experience at a now defunct track. About 10 years ago Mayor Giuliani launched a huge "clean-up" campaign in Times Square, New York. They closed all the porn shops down, got rid of all the litter, the graffitti, the crack dealers on the corners etc.. Result today is Armani ,Gucci shopping, trendy restaurants. I.E. "if you build it, they will come" It really does work. There was a short video on here a week or two ago of a Polish meeting and my remark was that i had never seen such an immaculate centre green- you could have played bowls on it! Small things add up.That stadium yesterday, the location, the facilities. Who wouldn't want to be there? All the best. Alan.

TOTALLY agree. The Poles deserve all the success they garner. The old buffers who run British speedway may have their hearts in the right place but their heads are in the la-la land clouds. Did you see Pawel's comment that he thought 10 pounds was too expensive for a lot of Poles to pay to sit in that gorgeous structure? Meanwhile tonight you pay 16 to stand on the terraces at Monmore Green- and that is one of the better ones! It is very sad just HOW far UK speedway has fallen. Ah well. Better than none at all.
