  1. I think Kyle is a good little prospect, however, I think he needed another year at N.L. level and he should not have signed foe his local club far too much pressure on him. He will get there though
  2. You can do as many hours as you like getting it wrong, it is still wrong. The second half of last season the track prep massively improved, at a guess probably NICK MORRIS insisting kt was prepared properly. I was being entertained, apart from the Glasgow meeting this year I have not been entertained. I have missed more meetings this year than in the 20 yrs I have been going to Berwick speedway. You take the kids out of the crowd on Saturday I doubt there were much more than 400 in attendance. Before someone jumps in and says kids are important they are the future, true, but they get in free, so without the old fa*rts like me paying to get in , then this business model is doomed to failure.
  3. Purely because I am a suspicious sod. I think Birmingham did it just to wind up Buxton, if Gazza had ridden would certainly have weakened Birmingham. I sponsored Gazza and wanted my name on the bottom of his engine, so I could see it more often when he fell off between the 3rd and 4th bend. By the way Birmingham certainly succeeded in winding the fans up at least.
  4. Wow Julie, sounds like the branch of the mafia in Workington
  5. Abverages dictate otherwise, we still have 4 second strings 3 reserves however
  6. Up in Berwick they get the water from Simpsons Malt, it is the waste water from the plant which they take before it goes through the effluent meter. As much water as they want for free, they still don't water it anywhere near enough
  7. Totally agree about being entertained, for the most I have not been entertained this season. I gave Saturday a miss that is the 4th meeting I have missed so far this season and by all accounts I have chosen not to attend the least entertaining meetings, luck or judgement I will leave it up to you all.
  8. Doesnt matter how much you tell him Nothumberland is in England and runs from the Humber to The Forth, still totally deluded
  9. The guy standing on the finish line with a flag, should be a big enough clue as to where the finish line is
  10. On Leon, yes 15 yrs of age, but riding better than most riders 5 years his senior. He has the ability to adapt to anything you put in front of him, his maturity abounds.OK I am biased, but the proof is in the pudding.
  11. I didn't realise it was an individual attempt, so I appreciate the effort. Gary Flint passed on the link, I was looking forward to seeing Leon race, sadly all I got was the music, the 2 minutes and the roar of engines, everything was too farv away to work out who was racing. If you can sort out the problems willing to look again in the future.
  12. Went on Glasgows livestream yesterday for the Youth Championship, It was absolutely dire, couldn't follow the proceedings at all
  13. Isn't that what they do in Poland. Perhaps the UK should take a look at the way the Polish do things, as it is far more successful than our system.
  14. Spud didn't start the season well, but he was never a No1, until last week he had been putting in some very steady scores, I will put last week down to just a bad week. Don't no what the [problem was, I am sure he will get his head around the problem.. He is however a heat leader a 3 or a 5. It may be that he is stretching his riding too far Rye House, Berwick plus all of the guesting. I have never liked the idea of a rider riding in 2 leagues, or having guests, but that is what we have sadly.
  15. I think it was a good challenge for him, I watch him with others around him, he has the ability of a good leader. It is odd watching him with all the young kids at Berwick, who all look up to him, you forget that he is only 15.
  16. As you know, only following Brum this season because of Leon being in the team. Looking at the Brum having a full signed team, I do believe they would have turned over Mildenhall, but as they say you can only race with what you have on the day, thats life On an aside, how did Leon do as Captain
  17. At the moment very light rain, but very black looking
  18. Had a few light showers, forecast to ease off about 1600hrs
  19. I suppose you are right Screm, they probably still have records in Cornhill, played on the gramaphone.
  20. Colin pal, we were always going to be humped away from home
  21. I don't use the website , it was never up to date and still isn't
