Vojens is back after all, not really an exciting choice but neither surprising since there aren't really much else to choose from if you want the GP on a permanent track.

Second legs starts at 18.00 Swedish time, not sure why.

Not a very good choice with Målilla in mid September, could be very cold and rainy (worse then usual).

Some more news Dackarna has been asked about continue staging a GP, Sweden/Svemo has met the new organizers and have been /will been involved in planning but only for a small part. Initially no large expansion with new races but a similar concept as today. Most things are supposedly already decided/done and will likely be presented at either the press conference or within the nearest days. Myabe, but I agree with PirateShip that the wild cards are already considered/chosen even if the new management formally/officially aren't in control yet.

Smederna - Rospiggarna highlights.

I've read some comments that he had some pain in his hand that he therefore couldn't hold on to the bike properly. No news yet whether it's broken or not.

Really strong team effort from Smederna, especially with Pontus unable to ride his 3 last heats.

official attendance 2200-ish but looks like at least 3000.

Heat 12, great first lap and great fight for second all way to the line.

He was fighting with Huckenbeck for first, and Huckenbeck took Pontus front wheel. Pontus took a tumble on the track and sat with his back against airfence for a while. Then stood up and walked back to pit on his own so probably a bit shaken up. Didn't look injured but obviously hard to see from a distance.

not really, no real tight so far except for first lap heat 4 and 5. Heats has been a bi drawn out. Heat 4 wss close but flagman made a calculation error and 5 laps were done.

This year marks the 70 birthday for Smederna, 1951-2021.

At the track now and it's bloody cold. Very windy.

Weather looks ok for both tracks.

750 is pretty descent when you have mind that it rained from 16.00 to 21.00. 1525 is probably as many as they were allowed to have in Hallstavik,

Referee report is that track looks ok/good giving the circumstances. Once grading finished riders will do another track walk. Estimated start 21.30 Swedish time. @Dave Goddard.

It will be a cracking meeting tomorrow. Smederna won big at home in the series but Rospiggarna had some bad luck then but I hope Smederna will show tomorrow on home gravel why they won three straight titles 2017-2019. However it won't be easy and Rospiggarna are generally quick starters.
