Wildcards 2022
Ghostwalker replied to waiheke1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well what is the point of wild cards otherwise if you are just going to give them to riders placed 7,8,9,10,11,12,13 (depending one who qualified from the GP challenge)? I definitely think they should be more "wild" with their picks but perhaps be more committed to it and it and the riders 2-3 seasons to establish themselves in the SGP. -
Sponsors+ spectators. I also think most clubs expected the restrictions to be eased off earlier and that the spectators would return at that point but that latter have not happened in the extent the teams expected. As for the Polish teams/riders some teams like Smederna have not had any problems with fielding the team they want except for Loktaev who have had visa problems related to restrictions entering Sweden due to the pandemic. They have also not used Grigorij Laguta that much due to Woryna's success. Västervik and Dackarna have mostly used the riders they want but due to the SGP Thursday meetings have been problematic. So yes to some extent it's a bit strange that some clubs have no issues with their riders riding elsewhere but others have such huge problems.

If Västervik scores at least 41 p tonight they will finish second. A result of 41-49 tonight will bring them to same point quota as Dackarna but Västervik will finish second due to better head to head results. For the other meetings some scenarios for 4th. I think these are all possible scenarios but use at your own risk @Dave Goddard . Rospiggarna If They win tonight or if the manage atleast a draw combined with if Lejonen doesn't score more then 47 points tonight and don't win the runoff for bonus point. Lejonen for forth: If Rospiggarna only manages a draw or looses combined with Lejonen scoring at least 47 points tonight and win the run off for the bonus point. Lejonen if the manages a draw (45-45) and Rospiggarna looses (44-46 or worse) which will result in both teams having 21 team points but Lejonen a sligtly better quota; Lejonen 729/711 = 1,025316455696203 Rospiggarna 723/712 = 1,015449438202247 Vetlanda if they defeat Lejonen with really big scores and combined with Rospiggarna scoring low points. Theoretically possible but unlikely IMO. Finishing 5th or 6th Does not matter and won't give any advantages.

Yeah, that is correct. I don't remember what it was but was but I don't think it's related since Artem participated in the 2019 British Grand Prix. I think it's more likely to be related to lack of support from the Russian Speedway federation. Both Laguta brothers boycotted the SWC a number of years ago for that reason.

There are some really good fights going on. https://www.svemo.se/Sporter/Resultat/Speedway/Serier/BAUHAUSLigan2021/Serietabell/ Västervik or Dackarna both have 26 p but Västervik currently has a better quota (won divided by lost points) with 734-616 = 1,191 vs. Dackarna's 775-665 = 1,165. Dackarna have to rely on Smederna to beat Västervik with a large enough score so that Västervik's quota will become worse then Dackarna's for Dackarna to be able to finish second Lejonen and Rospiggarna have a fight for 4th were Rospiggarna currently has 21 p vs 20 for Lejonen. Lejonen races at home against Vetlanda while Rospiggarna races away against Piraterna in the final round. Vetlanda or Indianerna for 6th. Both teams have two more meetings to go. Vetlanda are currently 4p ahead of Indianerna.
