Some of his merits: 7x Individual Swedish champion, 5x Swedish team champion, 9 grand prix wins, 3x Speedway world cup gold medals.

IMO nothing else is to expect. To be continuously successful over one or several GP-seasons just talent isn't enough. It also requires plenty of experience regarding both the actual racing (setups, tougher opposition) as well as logistics and mental preparations (different atmosphere, more pressure and etc). Therefore it takes time to become established. I don't think it's fair on the young guns to be dismissed after just one season. As for Lebedevs, his 2017 was really great but he then had a really tough 2018. However he seems to be on the rise again and have done a couple really good meetings the past few weeks.

Of course not, probably not even top 40. My point is not that is subjective but rather that you cannot put an = between GP-rider and top 15 in the world which some are doing.

But how do you know who the 15 best riders in the world are? IMO just because you are in the GP-series it doesn't make you a top 15 rider. If Aspgren would have qualified, would he have been among the 15 best in the world? I'd say no. IMO current top 8 + Woffinden and Doyle are likely to be the 10 best in the world but behind them I'd say that there are a whole bunch of riders that are of similar quality where their day form would decide who the better rider is.

IMO no. Let them sit out a year or as for situations like Tai's there is wild card.

Heartbreaking for Aspgren and really disappointing for Michelsen. Possible Mikkel might be considered for a wild card. One also have to wonder if this was Harris last attempt or if he will continue to bother?
