  1. While I agree on the principle, a 252 track is still quite different then a 162m track which is about the same size as an 85cc tracks.
  2. According to Joel himself on Dackarna's facebook page, sore and pain from the ribs. Luckily there doesn't seem to be any fractures or serious injury. ------- First post updated with line-ups for tomorrow. Wednesday's line-ups will be available tonight at 21.00 Swedish time.
  3. " Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk...." which means that this will be called off but not until they have enough heats for the result to count. I think it was the last year at Ullevi in Gothenburg where it rained as well and they (FIM/BSI) didn't call it off until after 12 heats coz' the result was then valid and thus they didn't have to repay ticket money. As for heat 4, IIRC heats cannot be awarded in the SGP.
  4. Alexander Edberg have decided to retire and yesterday's Allsvenskan final was his last meeting. http://se.aktuellspeedway.eu/2018/09/21/edberg-lagger-slapskon-pa-hyllan/
  5. Region Varde won the Danish superfinal yesterday. http://se.aktuellspeedway.eu/2018/09/19/danmark-region-varde-mastare-pa-hemmaplan/
  6. NKI in for Dudek. http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/6961/dudek-out-of-german-sgp
  7. Yeah, still not a fan. I mean he is not bad but he has a bit too few wins heats. Too many 2nds and 3rds IMO.
  8. Dackarna - Smederna on Tuesday and Smederna - Dackarna on Wednesday.
  9. GotEvent gor the FIM/BSI a good offer. Ullevi, like friends is too big though and you sit quite far away from the track. Just like Cruyff arena and Stade de France are too big. They also tried the Stockholm Olympic stadium in Stockholm for a while but it wasn't that successful and it's very old (>100 years). The athletics track was refurbished and it was no longer allowed to cover them with dirt.
  10. It will be sudden death knock out heats. 2 riders from each team in each heat and a maximum of 3 heats. In case all 3 heats ends with tied results it will be 4th heat with 1 rider from each team. Rule 10.2.8.
  11. Not serious enough to stop him from riding tonight. Smederna have announced that Iversen will ride tonight.
  12. Yeah I agree. Rough locations of most active speedway tracks in Sweden http://forumbilder.se/H83M8/swe-speedway-patches Hallstavik was unintentionally cut off but is located quite a bit north east of Uppsala.
  13. Vetlanda have announced that the will not extend the contract with team manger Mikael "KrÄka" Karlsson. Sports manager Mikeal Wirebrand will have the sole responsibility for the team. Vetlanda also announced a budget cut in sports related costs. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/vetlanda-bryter-med-karlsson-och-skar-i-forarbudgeten/
  14. Dudek has now been officially replaced by KK. Dudek will however still be listed as nr 5 in the line-up until line-ups are confirmed tomorrow. ---- Line-ups for tomorrow have been added to first post.
  15. No. The change haven't been registered by Svemo yet. As soon as it does (likely today) KK will enter the lineup and squad at Dudek's position.
  16. I would assume that it falls under the same laws and regulations as BSI/FIM not allowed to ban SGP-riders in SEC. FIM / FIM-E probably aren't allowed to stop SEC regardless of shape since OneSport then could claim that FIM/FIM-E are restricting free trade. It is not different compared to WRC and IRC/ERC. WRC is the larger series spanning over longer time and more parts of the world while ERC is the smaller "local" European series and run by different promoters.
  17. Mainly BSI. It was widely discussed when OneSport took over the series (see the older threads about SEC). BSI first intended to block all SGP-riders from also riding in the SEC. BSI had to back down though since their intent would violate basic EU laws. It ended in a compromise between OneSport and BSI.
  18. IMO both Johan Cruyff Arena and Stade de France are too big for a first time speedway GP. For NL I've suggested the GelreDome before. It is located in Arnhem and it's capacity is around 20'000 which I think is more suitable arena to start with. If it is a success then one can consider upgrading to JC arena after a few years. The same goes for Stade the France, a capacity of over 70'000 is IMO too much for a smaller speedway nation as France. Not the mention the astronomical cost to rent the place for the necessary time.
  19. About other dates that could have been used, the answer is that there were no other dates available that could have worked. Basically all riders are fully booked for the next two weeks.
