You are most welcome Dave. About 2018, do you know something I don't. At the moment there are no known information about a new tv-agreement for Swedish Elitserien for 2018. -

I think you missunderstood me. The stadium seating capacity as such regarding seating and grandstands is totally fine. It was 8300 yesterday and 10'000 shouldn't be a problem. The problem is the infrastructure outside the arena, with insufficient parking for cars and buses as well as an insufficient access road. I arrived by bus yesterday around 17.30 and the queues were already starting to build up onto the freeway several kilometres away. Many were stuck in queues when the meeting started and it was the same afterwards. Here is an aerial photo from a few years ago https://i.imgur.com/Cy0vNoQ.png The read marked areas are the parking areas and it's not really that big. It is usually full at attendances of 4000-5000. The only way to get there is by a small gravel road (black lines south and east of the stadium) that runs just outside the stadium There used to be a large gravel parking with bus parking west of the track but when Smederna folded in 2009 the go-kart/drifting club used the opportunity to seize the entire parking for their own purposes. As you can see there is now a large asphalt track where the parking used to be. IMO it is still disgraceful that the city (owners of the arenas) allowed it because it have really caused problem for the speedway track. Simply put when there is 5000+ in the attendance the traffic situation will become a big mess. One also have to have in that Michelsen is that type of riders that can score 10p in meeting and 2p in the next. Aspgren blew his best engine in the first heat at home against Masarna. I also think Madsen would be able to handle a little grippier track. -

I think Friends is too big (50k capacity) and that Tele 2 arena (roughly 50-60% capacity) could have been a better place to start and build it from there. Tele 2 / Globen area have even better public transport and also have better parking facilities. -

Attendance 8357!! that is still roughly 500 less then 14 years ago. I think that Smederna's unstoppable train have reached the end of the line. -

I agree with you Krompa. A little piece of trivia. In 2003 which was the previous time Smederna were in the final there was a rider who rode for Kaparna then and who is riding today for Vetlanda. That rider is Jarek Hampel. -

Vaculik won't ride due to otitis media and fever. https://www.instagram.com/p/BZgW4WSDIBQ/?taken-by=martinvaculik I don't know yet if Vetlanda will use R/R for Vaculik but if the do Hampel, Musielak, Jonasson and Berntzon is eligible for R/R -heats. and Smederna have now sold almost 3000 pre-purchase tickets. https://www.facebook.com/eskilstunasmederna/posts/1498085030284980 4 generations of Jansson looks forward to the SM-final. http://www.expressen.se/sport/motor/familjen-speedway-laddar-for-ny-guldfest/ Joel Jansson -> Bo Jansson -> Jimmy Jansson -> Jimmy's two kids Anton and Agnes. -

Well the arena have more then enough standard but Vetlanda is only like 40-50km from MÃ¥lilla.I am not sure if it would be wise to have two GP:s in such close geographical proximity of each other? -

Nothing official yet though, I don't think that we will know until teams appears on the live results page. An article about Smederna's two team managers Jerker Eriksson and Stefan Jarl who have known each others since pre-school. http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/a/npzKn/skolkamrater-bakom-osannolik-klassresa -

I don't but I was at Avesta two weeks ago and I think that the arena doesn't have sufficient standard for a GP-track. -
