  1. In Sweden ambulance is required for a meeting to be able to be run and the minimum ambulance requirements is an "event ambulance". Then there is also several other requirements for a 500cc speedway/ice racing/long track meeting, like a medical team consisting of at least 2 medics (doctor/nurse/ambulance nurse), a qualified pre-hospital care nurse. Tracks also have to have a basic medical room as well for pre-hospital care. In Sweden ambulances can only bring patients to hospital if they have an emergency permit from the transportation board. This is according to Rule 1.9 and appendix A: http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_14171/cf_44/TrackRacing_SJUKV-RDSBEREDSKAP_2016.PDF
  2. I don't know about the English language bit in Swedish we have two words; sport and idrott. The latter is a more narrow/specific word for sports that are more physical like football, icehockey, tennis, atheltics gymnastics and etc while sport is more general and also includes stuff like billiards, darts motorsports and other sports that aren't as physical as idrott. So yes darts is sports.
  3. Freddie has good speed but his starts aren't that good. He needs to improve if he want to get the gold.
  4. The same reason as Nicki. Ex-world champion that is well known by the general public. IMO neither should have been given wild cards but money talks.
  5. It was just a statement of fact but sure I deffo would like to see Greg out of the series.
  6. In that case Greg should bow out too because I really can't stand mr double face.
  7. I don't think this will work outside Sweden bt you could give it a try. https://www.viafree.se/program/sport/fim-speedway/sasong-1/962972
  8. Greg, Pawlicki and Janowski have had Orionparken as their hometrack. Jonsson and Doyle currently have it as their hometrack. Greg still lives in Hallstavik during the season. Spectator size looks ok, around 6000 maybe?
  9. It's not the best track in Sweden but still relatively good/ok. There will be a big screen available but only for those who pays another €5 to get into the festival area. I hope that it will pay off but Teurnberg was interviewed on the radio a couple of days ago where he said that it would cost €50 000 to get the rights to broadcast the Swedish game. I don't know but I would assume that he somehow found a cheaper way?
  10. It's Hallstavik, a small Elitserien track not a big stadium. I am sure that a few ticketss have beeen sold already but not enough to make breakeven. wvw thousand Hallstavik is a small industrial. municipality in the north eastern corner of southern Sweden. I dont think there is a pub there., possibly a pizza shop.
  11. yeah, writing with the phone sometimes acts up and I cant delete the wrong parts. I will fix it later when I can use my computer. Anyway I think the world cup qf between Swe & Eng/Clmb will affect attendance levels at this GP.
  12. I'd expect Ljung to be track reserve at Målilla with Berntzon as wild card. Sweden defeated Switzerland in the football world cup and will play in the qf on Saturday that starts at 16.00 CEST which is just 3 hours before the GP starts. I think many will stay at home to watch the game.
  13. Masarna says that Tai sent them 5 invoices two weeks ago (19 June) for four meetings + sign on. They say that they have paid 2 of those and that three are remaining. Tai therefore has the right to use the clause in his contract that says he can refuse to ride if all his invoices haven't been paid.
  14. Pretty much as in Stockholm then even if the cheapest tickets wasn't as as expensive as £80. Tickets where too expensive, racing quality not good enough, held too late in the year (IMO). I think it is a mistake to male the tickets so expensive because it will scare the people off and then it will be a downward spiral. I think if you make the tickets a bit cheaper then you will get a higher spectator count that will means better atmosphere (= higher chance of people coming back) and more people who will buy coffee, soda, programs and etc.
  15. not really. He is an ex Rospiggarna rider and also from Stockholm. IMO, Berntzon should have been the wild card but Jonsson was chosen for being the local guy. He doesn't really deserve it given his form this season.
  16. Weather forecast https://www.smhi.se/vadret/q/Hallstavik/Norrtälje/2708426#tab=0,chart=1
  17. I disagree with that. Once a world champion always a world champion, there is no such thing as former world champion (unless title|s has been removed for disciplinary reasons).
  18. Yes I know that's why I said not many GP so far this season and that is also why there haven't been many complaints "The recent months". You can't complain on something that haven't happened yet.
  19. Most likely because there haven't been many temporary tracks or GPs so far this season.
  20. According to earlier in the thread helmets doesn't count anymore. Ncki didn't feign anything. MJJ took front wheel in the first one and Zmarzlik hit Nicki in the semi.
  21. Yeah, maybe a couple of good heats but overall a very rubbish track. BSI is apparently running this event by themselves now but likely they will direct the blame on someone else or something else in their usual style.
