He has been lightning fast the past 2 weeks though. In the last GP, in the second leg of Smederna's quarter final against Dackarna and in the semi finals against Masarna. His Elitserien "play offs" (don't like word for speedway's post season cup) scores: Smederna - Dackarna 5 (1 0 2 2) Dackarna - Smederna 15 (3 3 3 3 3) Masarna - Smederna 17 (3 3 2 3 3 3) Smederna - Masarna 16 (3 3 1 3 3 3) The common factor of his GP win and the last three of the meetings above is that the tracks have been pretty rough due to rain.

Well if the "play offs" wouldn't have existed Smederna would have been fifth but now we have got ourself into the final by knocking out the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in Elitserien. Having a "play off" as a national team champion decider gives extra meaning to the final rounds of the regular series. Without "play offs" a team could be far enough ahead for the title to already be decided and the final rounds would be meaningless. A standalone championship cup doesn't have the same "prestige" or what you want to call it as a series connected "play offs".

Well the cat has 9 lives although Smederna perhaps is more like the phoenix or maybe a Rhinoceros. Thanks to all three of you for your support and grats'.

Berntzon is riding and Walasek riding is according to the declared lineups. The weather situation in Vetlanda doesn't look that good. A weather system is moving up over the country and will reach Vetlanda within a few hours.

QF, SF an F are all decided over two meetings. The only wrong about the SGP Swedish league table is that they uses points difference instead of the correct points quota system.

I think tonight's meeting in Avesta confirms that. Smederna had a positive trend going into the meeting and a very good "go" in the team. while Masarna had the pressure to win at home. The result?, Smederna won with 14 points.
