  1. These tapes should be breaking when they get caught up, maybe they are using the wrong stuff as well as 2nd hand kit on the start line
  2. Classic But could you imagine a green light or elastic tape starts? Nightmare
  3. Quite agree, disgusting for a meeting of this magnitude, the equipment should be the best of the best when being shown live on TV
  4. Brings out the skill factor a little more rather than raw power on a silky smooth drag race track
  5. I thought Bjarne Pedersen would of been doing better in his home GP
  6. Appointment for the ref to go to Specsavers please for heat number 1 as he didn't see it well the tapes anyway
  7. I think they were just pointing out he and Lindback were moving and all 4 should of been brought back, so basically they were both cheating and got away with it
  8. I just had the feeling you would reply with something like that Time will tell
  9. Glad you didn't find me Matt Ha! Ha! got away with it Seriously though nice to see the faces behind the names will have a look out next time
  10. The dream of a lifetime ended more as a nightmare all due to an electrical fault. With the bike running well during the previous afternoons race and showing no signs of any problems George had only one thing in mind, that was to win his race. Alas this was not the case with his machine spluttering to a halt on the back straight on the second lap while he was in 2nd position. Once he had calmed down and accepted that these things happen to the best riders in the world as well, George reflected “I just wanted to put on a good show and win my race to say thanks to my sponsors and supporters who had made the trip to Cardiff. Thanks to you all for all the support you have given me, also thanks to Dad who bought trophies for Josh, Ben and myself for the Under 15’s round at Weymouth as we didn’t receive any on the day. So much has gone on today thanks to Peter Oakes and BSI it is something that I will never forget and hope to be back here one day winning races.” CLICK to read the story and see the pics :: >>>HERE
  11. The Junior Results :: >>> HERE Some pics of George and a few others.:: >>> HERE Hope they let them do it again next year it was brilliant for all of them. Keep looking to the future then one day we will have another World Champion to celebrate
  12. It was great to see the effort put in, but what many forget it this kids only have their family and a couple of sponsors to help with costs, so it shows how dedicated they all are by the way they conducted thereselves throughout. It was a pleasure to help in a small way and I look forward to seeing them ride at Cardiff again in the future. Too numerous to name would guess? Seriously I watched several of the lads talk to the 'stars', Henka, Kelvin Billy H, Floppy etc were all happy to talk as they walked past the junior end of the pits that was situated right by the exit to the Pits car park. 100% agree, Peter Oakes did a fantastic job getting this sorted out in the first place. He told the boys what he expected and the timings etc, all responded in a professional manner which would put many others to shame. The juniors are the future, some of the names in the Under 15's Championship will be household names in years to come, personally I can't wait to see one or more qualify for the SGP in the future. The Junior scene had a foot on the ladder last year now it is climbing higher, getting noticed in the right places and by the right people.
  13. Results for the kids Vince :: >>> HERE Some pics by me mainly of George with a few others as well as Middlo presenting trophies to the top three from the Under 15's round at Weymouth supplied by Steve Piper :: >>> HERE
  14. See you at the No 1 Stadium in the UK tomorrow George, have a great time see you and the old fella for breakfast tomorrow morning (Don't spill it down your kevlars)
  15. Quite agree, but at least they are being given a chance, maybe next year Peter Oakes will be able to get a better time slot for them after doing so well at getting them there this year
  16. Bri Steve told me how bad the incident was and that Dan's throat was in a state but those pics! He must of endured a great deal of pain and I guess that must still hurt like hell. Speedy recovery Dan good luck at Newport on Sunday see you there.
  17. Still wouldn't be able to take any pics I'll be hoping around somewhere, probably trip over you during the day
  18. Looking forward to it, good luck and stay safe to all the riders
  19. It's just the way you typed 'Piper' rather than Steve or George, wasn't sure if you were getting at either or not, glad your friends which is what this sport at this level should be all about, each helping the other. Sorry but I beg to differ on this as Peter Oakes had asked for nothing to be made public, we only went public after receiving a confirmation email. I know a few of them, I don't really see what you are getting at with that question, if you check out my website you will see that I currently run Brendan Johnson's website as well as George's. In fact I follow the Under 15's closer and with more interest than any of the other leagues. Last season I was present at several of the rounds and presented the Weymouth round. These kids are the future life and blood of the sport we all love and personally I have more time for them than I do for many other aspects of the sport which I won't go into on here, maybe catch up with you at Newport on Sunday and we can put the World to right over a coke or two? There will also be a big announcement shortly if permission is granted but rest assured it will be posted here first for all to see.
