  1. For those of you interested the Western Australian state under 16 title & best pairs will be run this weekend at the newly formed speedway track on Pederick Rd. Pinjar (near Wanneroo) The state title will take place on Saturday with practice starting at 10.00 and racing starting at 11.00. The hot favourite will be Ty Woffendin son of former Scunthorpe star Rob Woffendin. The abscence of current champ Bob King should see Ty who a couple of weeks ago was giving Danial Harding a run for his money on the 500cc bike win the title. There will also be 250cc and 110cc sidecars and 2 500cc heats with Danial riding alongside Mark Jovic and Nigel Roberts (on one of Johno's bikes) tracking around the smallish but wide track. So Timbo get your backside trackside and Stats, i look forward to reading all about it in Wednesdays West. Btw: please don't blame the commentator for any mistakes, i was the best they could come up with at the time, look out Bryn.
  2. I can't wait for this, catch you there Lunchy and Main Man. Hey Bryn are you in Oz for this one, if so i'll see you at the Crazy Horse on the Thursday night I just noticed that entry is $20.00, cheap for all the entertainment that will be going on. I might have to bring my mountain bike and give that world record a shot.
  3. I don't think Leigh and Jason are as close as you might think, respected rivals yes, best buddies no. It would be nice to think all the Aussie boy's were best bud's but i'm afraid it's not. I might just add to that though, it's getting better. I've had to edit my post after reading what was above. Definatley the Pedersen factor.
  4. I'm with you - Loramski in, the more Brit's the better.
  5. I agree, but to have one Brit in the G.P.'s is not going to go down well. Either someone steps up or Lee is the obvious choice as sad as it may seem, he and Scotty have years on there side. Wish them well.
  6. Nicholls will and should be rewarded for his efforts this season, best Brit bar none. Lee should also slip in there, given his performance last night.
  7. AJ, Scotty, Lindback and Hampel should be safe, however i fear Ryno's place could be under threat. Such a shame for a world beater 18 months ago.
  8. Yep, a true champion in every sense of the word. If it couldn't be an Aussie well Tony will be just fine. Well done cobber
  9. Congrats to Trick on his performance this year, just blow's my mind. Well done to Lee, fantastic performance, but i fear he is on a hiding to nothing if he doesn't go well in Lonigo, the knives will be out again. Well done Thomas, thats so cool to win 4 in a row in front of your home fans. and last but not least well done Leigh and Jason, but all reports Leigh was a bit unlucky - but thats racing.
  10. It's about time for an all Aussie podium. 1)Leigh 2)Jason 3)Ryan 4)AJ
  11. Yes Bibra has closed down for good however there is a new junior track that was opened by Peter Collins in March, next to the Wanneroo Junior MX track, it's a fantastic little track where the youngsters can practice/race, so all is not lost.
  12. Don't know where to get them, but i have a few at home
  13. Yes Perth is Luverly, you would fit in well here
  14. i'm gonna stick with 1) Leigh Adams 2) Jason Crump 3) Ryan Sullivan 4) B. Pedersen bias or what
  15. I'm definatley interested Would the cost be the same if i'm flying from Oz
  16. Hey Matt your pretty good at this caper, but where was the photo of the popcorn chicky babe?
  17. Why are they miserly odds in your opinion - I thought you said Leigh was having form slump and wouldn't be World Champion anyway
  18. The Book to win, pfft, dust second. Sully will suprise many, with Crumpy to finish 3rd Aussie Aussie Aussie 1,2 & 3. Go boys
  19. Just spoke to him he's a happy chappy again Addy. He is doing his Sky gig tonight so you can here his dulcete tones from Swindon.
  20. Okee dokee 1) The highlight for me was Leigh again, what a great asset to our country. 2) Johno's pass(es) at Newcstle: he made more passes in one lap of the B final than there was all night. Mmmm i may have made a pass at Rory's sister and the start girl from Gosfor....... oh forget about me 3) Trav M'Gowans father Moose: riding from Newcastle to Mildura through the night on a Harley with no shield, goggles, mask or sleep. Now that's hardcore. right anyone else: Brynmore Boyo your up cobber
  21. I'm sure you probably put the details elsewhere, however can you please let me know of subscribing prices (mag and delivery) from the U.K. to Australia. Thanks in advance T.R.
  22. G,day Timbo - sorry about the delay in posting back. It was a brilliant day and all credit must go to Wuffy, Dave Cheshire, Bruce Russell and Johno. The track looks to of held up fantastic for it's first real hit out, there was no races as such (apart from some big kids on there fast 50's) Apart from the 500cc solo's there was junior solo's, junior sidecars, Fast 50's and pee wee's. Glen Doyle and Malcolm Carter came out and even done a few laps. Amongst the crowd was ex World Champ Peter Collins, Chris Collins and Carl Belfield who have been here on 5 weeks holidays, also Chum Taylor, Mick McKeon and Lee Redmond. Johno looked fast as always as did Trev and Dan Harding and for the first time not being on a bike in ten years Doylie looked to have lost nothing. The track is 150 metres from the inside kerb and 12 to 14 metres wide, perfect for any young fella wanting to ply their trade. The next meeting is undecided at the moment but i will let you know when Wuffy is taking his son Tai up for a practice. When i hear of anything i'll keep you in the loop.
  23. Consider it done Mainy. Btw what sort of info are you looking for?
  24. Peter Collins it is BrizHeathen. Junior and senior solo's, sidecars and fast 50's, from 2.00pm onwards. Along with Johno the Harding boys will also be there.
