rare for him not to be. Maybe he should get a job as a toilet cleaner. Maybe he should just get a job. -

As many of here smugly commented after the Scunthorpe call-off 51 per cent chance of rain also means 49 per cent it won't. -

pretty sure B&G doesn't have BT Sports - The Angel, Blenheim, White Horse, Red Lion and Leaping Salmon all have BT and show live football ... as for speedway, you could always ask. -

Come on B&P it means they spend £17 each and get in for £34 combined ... awkward bl***y shopkeepers -
Berwick Mike Hope of Wooler Ltd Bandits 1 Aaron Summers 7.75 2 Jye Etheridge 5.65 3 Kevin Doolan (Captain) 6.47 4 Dany Gappmaier 5.32 5 Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen 6.92 6 Coty Garcia 5.20 7 Leon Flint 3.00 Team manager Gary Flint Cases Somerset Rebels 1 Rory Schlein (Capt) 8.27 2 Todd Kurtz 5.38 3 Valentin Grobauer 5.24 4 Nico Covatti 6.93 5 Ben Barker (Guest) 8.08 6 Anders Rowe 3.60 7 Henry Atkins 2.82 Team manager Garry May Referee Mick Bates Obviously Aaron's inclusion is subject to him being fit after last week's huge crash. Ben Barker slated to guest for SoN bound Chris Harris. First trip to Shielfield for Grobauer, some intriguing young talent in the reserve berths of both teams and hopefully a few Rebels on the northern tour to ramp up the atmosphere in the same way the Lions' fans did last Saturday. Adults with a friend - which I know rules out a fair number on here - can take advantage of the Family and Friends offer - two adults, two matchday magazines for £35. Accompanied kids go free, otherwise it's £17, £13 concessions and £3 programme.

Could be wrong but weren't they planning to re-sign him only to be hugely gazumped by Lakeside who promised Nick a shedload of money - most of which he was never paid. Maybe Berwick's problem is that they pay up. Would it be better to offer the moon and then deliver a bit of scorched earth? -

Think back to the Bradley Wiggins kerfuffle which was effectively over an asthma inhaler. In cycling, football and rugby (three sports i have some knowledge of) use of banned drugs is allowed with the use of a medical exemption certificate but it is up to the athletes to ensure that they are covered in the event of a drugs test. The riders should have been given a list of substances which could cause them to return suspicious test results. If they didn't then that is something the authorities need to tighten up. If they were then that is something the riders need to tighten up on. -

it was ... it turned out to be a brief shower - the widely forecast storm didn't happen until about 10pm. Apologies for being honest - obviously this is not the right place to do such a thing. -

seems a bit strange that you could save the cost of paying the visiting riders' travel when they have actually travelled - makes more sense today when it's been called off before they needed to set off - but I'm sure that the poster knows what he or she is talking about. -

at the risk of being accused of stating the bleeding obvious it probably depends on who is available on Saturday - we certainly need one at Newcastle -

not the only reason for track prep to be different - whether there's been a football match, the odd occasion that Berwick finds itself in a heatwave. Not everyone's like newcastle and just throws a bit of water on last week's shale ten minutes before start time you know -

agreed, but inevitable. What I genuinely don't understand if why Formula1 and MotoGP for example has exactly the same problem without attracting the same level of negativity as speedway -

I think that one of the problems with modern bikes is that unless the rider ahead makes a mistake it is very difficult to pass on a smooth, well prepared track - even a grippy one. -

Agreed totally but by the same token it is a good idea not to confuse whingeing negativity from those with an axe to grind with constructive criticism ... or just the inane ramblings of an idiot which stifles constructive debate and destroys the ability to have a worthwhile discussion and get information into the public domain. -
Fancy watching this one in a bit of luxury? The Bandits are offering two great value for money deals this week - in the great outdoors and behind the hospitality glass. Deal one is Friends and Family Deal which offers admission for two adults, two matchday magazines for £35, kids go free. General admission is £17, concessions £13. The sharp-witted among you might have noted that if you have an adult chum there's also a saving to be made. Available from the turnstiles or box office entrances. And then there's the chance to take it all in behind glass and sample the unique Stevenson, Beveridge, Nicholson VIP Matchday Experience. Many try but nobody does it better!! Taken from the club's Facebook page Admission to the VIP box (£17) Race day magazine (£3) Pit walk (priceless) Group photo (priceless) Buffet (£5) Unlimited drinks (priceless Rider of the night presentation (priceless) Meet the riders (priceless) Individuals or groups welcome and your cash goes straight back in to keeping the Bandits show on the road (as does every other penny you spend in the stadium) A group booking of 10 people secures match sponsorship and your company advert will appear in the race day magazine. "We do this for Berwick because we’re from Berwick and we’re backed by local businesses who believe in Berwick Bandits. At times I feel social media and its negative interactions have just about murdered Speedway but in general we are an extremely positive club so if you fancy a good time with good people on Saturday night come along and back your Berwick Bandits." email hospitality@berwickbandits.co
