  1. Another day has passed. I am really getting fed up now! I have spoken to them three times now over the last couple of weeks. Each time it has promised to be back on the card by the middle of that week. I know in terms of money it is reletively small but added to the rail fares and hotels etc, it at least claws back something from the weekend. Another call on Monday, otherwise I am going direct to the card issuer.
  2. Nothing today. I am going to give them another day (Friday) as this will nearly be 2.5 weeks since promised or else going directly to the card issuer.
  3. Another week gone and still nothing despite being told that I was on the next batch and would be no later than Tuesday past.
  4. Yes, sent and they have confirmed when I spoke to them that they have received it.
  5. It would be nice if they answered the phone when you contacted them instead of always going through to voice-mail. By the way another day has passed and you've guessed it...no refund.
  6. Eleven days now and counting... Perhaps I wouldn't feel so aggrieved if it wasn't for the 500 mile round trip, hotel and £90 rail fare on a track that with the subsequent delay was never even close to racing on.
  7. No refund yet. So I am updating this post for each day it continues. | | | | | | | Eight days now.
  8. Hi, no I returned proof of purchase liked they stated but haven't heard anything, it appears that Lord Lucan is managing there communications via email and telephone!
  9. Has anyone received a refund for the aforementioned meeting yet?
  10. Hi, does anyone know in the event of the meeting being postponed when a re-staging date will be? I have tried emailing Belle Vue and have had no reply.
  11. Reading this thread people may be interested to know "Five live investigates" on Radio 5, Sunday at 11am has a feature about Developers who promise certain things to gain planning permission but then never fulfil those promises. May be of interest in view of the Swindon situation.
  12. Nothing unusual in this. Normally you sign forms for the league the team is affiliated to.
  13. So has anyone have any idea if this meeting is definitely on, any definite starters and what format will it take? PS, Thanks Swindon. I emailed you asking about this nearly a week ago as we have to arrange time off from work, arrange travel and accommodation but have had no reply. Is this usual for the Club? If it is no wonder the sport is losing fans.
  14. Hi, can anyone tell me if the End of Era meeting that is scheduled at Swindon's Abbey Stadium is definitely going ahead? If it is are there any confirmed riders and what format is it going to take? Thanks in advance.
  15. Is it me or is the schedule more sporadic than in previous years?
  16. Echo that - very sad. I remember when Frank came over for the Falcons ill-fated return to the top flight in '84.
  17. Thanks for the reply but I know the location of the Arena but unsure on the buses as time would be tight to get a train back from Plymouth after a meeting if off-peak buses aren't very regular.
  18. Many thanks for your swift replies - out of interest do you know how frequently the buses run? I take it a 7.15pm start would take about two hours to run (thats including a couple of hold-ups).
