Kodi is software for playing live streams (and in fact stored TV programs). It can be installed on a computer but mostly it is used in conjunction with a set top box. These set top boxes generally go by the name of Android or Droid player. They are readily available on Amazon ranging from about GBP50. Here is a description http://www.droidplayer.co.uk/. These boxes come preloaded with Kodi, and this gives you access to all the sport channels across several different web services. The key difference here to Firesticks is that you can connect them to your broadband by an ethernet connection and not have to rely on your Wi-Fi. (The boxes do generally support Wi Fi). I found the reception and pictures much much better when not relying on the wi fi signal. I pushed the broadband service through my house electrical wiring by using TP link. Several other brands are available at various prices.. http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/feature/network-wifi/what-is-powerline-3491484/ Mine cost about GBP70, to get a wired broadband connection to my Droid box at the TV. Once you have all this installed there are a miriad of websites that supply live sports channels all the Sky ones and BT Sport as well. As well as individual matches that are listed. I was amazed at the range and diversity of the games available, this week I have watched, the PL match at Leicester, and last night watched Worcester Warriors at Newcastle in the Rugby Premiership. It isnt HD quality, but it is very watchable, especially as I have now removed the wi fi issues, all for GBP 120 ish, Sky previously cost me GBP105/month and that was without BT Sport, the deal that threw me over the edge. Now that all this is available I cant see scenario that will ever stop it. There are lots of other things you can do to mask which country that you are based in if ever someone does manage to stop these streams getting to you I just dont think that it will ever be necessary though, as I was amazed at what you can get. ....... and for GBP 120 why not have a go. (You do not need a computer to do as I have descibed above, however Kodi can be installed on a computer and all the above would then apply to your Computer!) Disgraceful, see above ! -
What about Wasps?

There's nothing wrong with watching the Harlem Globetrotters and (I guess) that it is great entertainment, but its not for me. A bit like speedway teams who have riders in their team but they are riding for another team on the same night, they are also not for me. NL is the way forward, even I cant complain of progression to a higher league! ,
-
The sad part is that I cant ever seeing me coming back to watch a load of travelling all stars ride for one club one day and another the next day. May as well watch the Harlem Globetrotters ...I do feel sad about this but the sport has no integrity
-
Is it just me? Everyone seems to accept that it is OK to have more than one loyalty. Riders should ride for one team. (There may be wriggle room for qualified riders riding at 2 levels in one country) All this discussion would then be pointless.

Yes perhaps blame was the wrong word
-
In fairness to SS they couldn't blame anyone until it was decided upon by the jury, surely?????

What other side of the story was there to print? Ward turned up to compete, was tested , failed the test. Until the case was heard how could there be another side. I think that it was a fair enough decision, if a little on the lenient side, at the end of the day if a car driver had have done the same thing they would have been banned for 12 months, both actions put other innocent people at risk. (Hi Jimbo hope you are well)

Woffinden three workouts . 1 was bad but the last two better . But clearly significant pain in his hand .

Thanks Phil, just watched it again sitting really close to the tv and there was nothing wrong with NPs dive under Zagar, however the kick in the corner that caused the crash was awful. Never really seen that many kicks whilst racing in my 40 years of attending! On a more positive note the GPs are better for having NP in them , but he must be close to overstepping the mark now.

None of the countries mentioned can influence the line up, however if you have a 70,000 seat stadium to fill and its your money, and you can do something to influence the crowd level what do you think will happen? You may also be influenced by the fact that one of your regular Customers may not be buying something with no representation in its home market????? You need to get into the real world. By the way this doesn't imply that I believe that the World Championship should not be contested by the best 16 riders that are available. -

Its great to see such expansion plans, no reason now why we cant have an Australian GP a week before or a week after. That must cut costs of staging them both. Cant see the need for any consultation with 'leagues' its up to individuals if they compete in the GPs, and who wouldnt want to compete for the possibility to be World Champion? -
Its best not to let facts get in the way of a good rant!

At present the British set up is a joke. No-one through to the GP Challenge, not a hope in sight in the U21. It also looks as though we will not have a qualifier in the SGP, and will have to rely on someone being nominated. Should that be the case?, depends who you are I guess, if you have a GP to sell in Cardiff, at an unusual time of year, will it help you to move tickets if you have a Brit permenantly in the series, or will just a Wildcard be OK, I know which way I would jump, if I was BSI, and at the end of the day that is who will make the decision.
-
There are normally 14 or so of us though, us Budgies tend to 'flock'!
-
U14 was the limit to get around the top tier this year. U13 last year so it is shrinking back towards the corner every year! Plenty of stewards to stop you moving from U14 to the lower numbered U's that form the home straight! Not quite as simply as some make out!
-
I think that this could be correct, and I think that Woffinden will get the nod because of commercial considerations. The title of the thread is after all 'Nominations 2011 Who'll get the nod?, not Nominations 2011, Who deserves the nod!

Sgp Challenge Final

Bryn, love reading your stuff/adventures, but just who do you think could win the World title next year, who hasnt had a chance to qualify this year?, would suggest candidates are a bit thin on the ground!
