  1. How much faster is emils bike on the straights.. Crazy. Has to ride it though.
  2. The big drop off was in the mid 80's to late 90's. Long before any of the maligned rules. Totally agree with your second paragraph, that's where speedway has become lazy.
  3. Again forgetting that thousands had left before any changes had been made. Still concocting your own version of threads again I see Drop a Cog. I said that it HAD AN EFFECT. Do you understand those words? I then stated but not as big as SOME might think. The more you try and be clever, the more you trip yourself up.
  4. He has already explained. Unlike you on the other thread when asked how you rank Gollob sbove Pedersen and hancock.
  5. That is precisely what happens! In many walks of life. Fashions and interest change. Why do you keep trying to claim falling crowds as your evidence? Why did the many more thousands stop going BEFORE the changes you dislike?
  6. It's not something to agree or disagree on, it's not opinion. The current 'tactical' system is the fairest it has ever been. No if's or buts about it. As said before, still prefer the old system though.
  7. Why would they bring crowds in, its just tinkering. The fundamentals remain the same, speedway is seen as a sport for old timers stuck in the past by the majority of young people today. Until that perception changes, it won't ever recover. Like you I much preferred speedway how it was in my youth, late 80's, early to mid 90's. However its gone.
  8. Forgetting that most of those thousands STOPPED going long before the changes being moaned about took place. Why did they stop going? Because things hadn't changed whilst over sports/entertainments around them were.
  9. The 'new fans laughing' is generally something people just add to their views to try and give them more strength.. has the opposite effect really.
  10. Precisely.. or most points in a set and lose. I really do wonder where these people who allegedly 'laugh' at these things come from. If they even exist of course!
  11. Which is pretty much what I said at the start of the thread. It's all relative to an individuals situation. When I lived in England, I went to all Wolves meetings home and away.. Now obviously I can't.. does it make me a less dedicated fan? I don't feel any less dedicated. I follow Toronto Blue Jays Baseball, I watch every single game in full, 95% of them live in the early hours of the morning.. 162 games a year.. some would say not dedicated due to not attending games! Some fans can afford and their work situation allows them to travel to meetings all over the country, some simply can't. That's not a knock on Halifax Tiger at all!
  12. Yeah, I don't like Pedersen. I've criticised him many times in the past. My bias is really showing through... try again. Again, how is it 'easy' to see? Biased towards a rider is when you favour them, every single time, regardless of the situation. I most certainly don't do that with Pedersen. In this particular case I don't believe his move was bad. That is all. Others will think differently, again that's their opinion, no issues there.
  13. Something is done, a rider is excluded from a race. In this particular case it's not even unanimous that Pedersen was at fault, but of course your bias won't allow you to see that.
  14. Correct, you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just interested in how you come to that opinion. How do you think the better rider failed to win more than 1 world title?
  15. Explain how I can be way off mark? If Gollob was so much better on all tracks he'd have won more titles. He didn't.. simply because he didn't have the level of consistency across ALL tracks that Pedersen and Hancock had.
  16. Spot on, I'm no fan of Nicki, when he does something wrong in my opinion I say so. There's plenty of times that has happened and I've voiced my displeasure at him on this forum as others have. Unfortunately there are some who are too blinded and no matter what happens regarding Nicki they will always lay into him, that is where the true poison lies. Like it or not Hancock realises this and has manipulated his fans and others into furthering a campaign against Nicki, the result of which we are seeing across social media now. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I honestly believe Tai Woffinden has risen above that this year.. he previously was getting involved in spats on twitter etc, but this year, after the Hancock incident he remained silent unlike the rest of the Monster gang. Personally I find it all very distasteful and very dangerous and it gives away the supposed 'nice guy' image that Hancock portrays. He comes across as very sly and manipulating. Of course his many fans lap it up hook, line and sinker and he can continue to grin away behind them all...
  17. Maybe so, but Hancock and Pedersen aren't pretty good on them, they're very good on them. I would say if we are just talking GP's, you can't really split Hancock and Pedersen, Gollob just behind them. Overall including league racing in all countries as well as the World Championships then Pedersen is ahead of Hancock in my opinion. Hancock a better team rider though of course!
  18. On big tracks, Gollob is as good as anybody ever.. On all tracks.. he falls below Hancock/Pedersen. It's why he has just the 1 world title to his name.
